LOOKING AT TAMUK
- The Lady Chaps and Javelinas first squared off in 1979 and have met 10 times all-time (series is tied 5-5). Of the 10 prior meetings, five were neutral site contests. The last five meetings were on-campus meetings, with LCU falling at TAMUK in their previous meeting (3-0) on Oct. 14, 2022. LCU is 3-0 all-time in Lubbock against TAMUK, as LCU won in straight sets Oct. 2, 2021.

- TAMUK was preseason picked third in the Lone Star Conference preseason poll. They went 20-10 overall last season, going 12-14 in conference to finish fourth place in the conference.

- A&M-Kingsvile is 12-6 on the season. They are 4-2 in LSC play (tied for sixth) after a 3-0 victory over UT Tyler Saturday in Kingsville to improve to 10-1 on the season. They are 1-3 on the road and seeking to end a three-match road losing streak.

- Rylan Pollard has a pair of triple-doubles on the season to rank fourth nationally in the category. Twice, she has been a kill away from adding to her triple-double total this season.

- Jeri Ficklin is the reigning LSC Defensive Player of the Week. In last week's wins over UT Tyler and Dallas Baptist, she produced five blocks in each match while helping a TAMUK defense hold the opposition to a combined .117 hitting percentage.

LADY CHAP NOTES
- LCU was one of 13 unbeaten teams this season before falling 3-2 Sept.14 to UT Permian Basin. The season start was their best since opening 2010 with an 8-0 record. The loss also ended an eight-match win streak if you include their season-ending win last season (their longest under head coach Keith Giboney and the longest streak since a 12-match win streak in 2018).  The Lady Chaps went into conference play with an 8-2 record on the season and their pre-conference record was their best 10-match start to their season since opening the first 10 matches of the 2014 season with a 9-1 record. They are 5-5 in LSC play (tied for ninth in the standings) and have won five of their last seven matches. They enter the contest 13-7 overall (they have already surpassed last season's 11-win season win total) following a 3-1 win Saturday over UT Permian Basin.

- All of LCU's seven losses this season have been against Lone Star Conference members and those teams have combined for a 98-37 record (72.6% win percentage) so far this season.

- Kalli Dalland had a match-high and career-high 10 blocks in Saturday's win over UT Permian Basin. The mark is the highest total in the rally scoring era by a Lady Chaps member at home and matches as the highest single-match total since 2008 by a Lady Chap (Dalland is the third Lady Chaps member to complete the task). The 10 blocks are the most by a Lady Chaps member since Christiana Tavo had 10 in Wichita, Kan. against Tarleton State on Sept. 24, 2015. Dalland had nine block-assists to match the most by a Lady Chap this season, as Lily Bickley had nine against UT Tyler Sept. 30 at home (the last time that had been completed prior to the two this season was Sept. 16, 2017).

- Genenbacher has 11 double-doubles this season (22 in career) and enters Friday leading the LSC in assists (758, 23rd nationally) and co-leading in aces (34) while ranking third in assists per set (9.6, 51st nationally). Her assists are fueling a Lady Chaps offense that rank eighth in the LSC in kills per set (12.7) and is hitting .200 on the season. Genenbacher surpassed 1,500 career assists on Sept. 23 (at Oklahoma Christian) and has 758 on the season on the season and has 1,844 in her career.

- Kiana Fallaha ranks fifth in the LSC in kills per set (3.5) and fourth in kills (274). She is fifth in the LSC in points per set with 3.8. Fallaha is fourth in the LSC (33rd nationally) with a pace of 10.8 attacks per set and has produced over 40 attacks in 12 matches this season. Against UTPB (Saturday), she notched her 10th double-double of the season (and of her career) and she has double-double performances in six of her last 11 matches.

- LCU ranks ninth in the LSC (65th nationally) in digs per set (16.4), but it has been a balanced effort, as the Lady Chaps do not have any representation in the top-15 in conference leaders in digs. Chloe Menard is LCU's leader with 3.56 digs per set, as she has 281 total digs on the season. Four Lady Chaps (Menard, Genenbacher, Olivia Elofsson and Fallaha) have at least 2.4 digs per set.

- The Lady Chaparrals have a 5-5 record in home matches this season and coming off a 3-1 win at home (Saturday) over UTPB. Kiana Fallaha is averaging 3.5 kills and Kayton Genenbacher is on a pace of 9.4 assists per set at home. Chloe Menard leads the team in digs per set (3.15) at home, but teammates Genenbacher (3.1) and Fallaha (2.8) are also averaging at least 2.8 digs per set. Olivia Elofsson and Genenbacher have combined for 28 (Genenbacher leads with 15) of LCU's 49 serving aces at home (the next closest player is Menard, who has seven).

- Kiana Fallaha (3.1) and Lily Bickley (2.6) are leading LCU in LSC play in kills per set. Fallaha, ranking 14th with 3.4 points per set, and Bickley, ranking 29th with 2.9 points per set, have LCU with two players in the top-30 in conference in points per set. Chloe Menard leads LCU with 3.5 digs per set and ranks tied for 12th in the LSC with 11 aces (32nd in the LSC with 0.27 aces per set). Kayton Genenbacher, leading the conference in LSC play with 387 assists and third in assists per set (9.4), leads LCU and co-leads the conference in LSC play in aces with 17 (also ranks ninth with 0.41 per set). Lily Bickley leads LCU in LSC play in hitting percentage at .287 (18th in LSC). Mix in Kalli Dalland ranking 23rd in hitting percentage (.276) and Lacie Schooley ranking 30th (.250), LCU with three players in the top-30 in the conference for hitting (in LSC matches).
