LOOKING AT StMU
- St. Mary's holds a 16-11 advantage in the all-time series dating back to 1980. LCU has won nine of the last 15 meetings in the series, but the Rattlers have won the previous three meetings. The two teams met in Lubbock last season, their first meeting in Lubbock since Oct. 27, 2018, with StMU claiming a 3-0 win on Oct. 1. The Lady Chaps are 4-3 all-time in San Antonio. The last meeting in San Antonio resulted in a 3-0 Rattlers win Nov. 13, 2021.

- StMU is preseason picked to finish sixth in the Lone Star Conference preseason poll. They went 14-14 overall last season and sixth in the LSC with a record of 10-6 in conference.

- The Rattlers are 8-8 on the season, with a mark of 3-2 in LSC action (tied for eighth in the LSC). They opened the season with a 5-2 record and are 3-6 since. They opened the week Friday defeating Eastern New Mexico 3-0 behind 19 assisted blocks, which marked StMU's third-most in a three-set match during the rally-scoring era (2008-present).

- StMU's top LSC ranking is in serving aces, as they rank seventh with a total of 99 aces on the season. Cali Nims (19), Dallasstar Johnson (16) and Alyssa Koehl (16) lead the way for the Fangs at the line.

- Landri Withers ranks seventh in the LSC in both attacks per set (9.3) and is eighth in kills per set (2.9). She had 42 kills over a three-match span leading into Friday, but was held to four kills against ENMU.

LADY CHAP NOTES
- LCU was one of 13 unbeaten teams this season before falling 3-2 Sept.14 to UT Permian Basin. The season start was their best since opening 2010 with an 8-0 record. The loss also ended an eight-match win streak if you include their season-ending win last season (their longest under head coach Keith Giboney and the longest streak since a 12-match win streak in 2018).  The Lady Chaps went into conference play with an 8-2 record on the season and their pre-conference record was their best 10-match start to their season since opening the first 10 matches of the 2014 season with a 9-1 record. They are 3-3 in LSC play (tied for 10th), and they aim for a fourth consecutive road win Saturday. They enter the contest 11-5 overall following a come-from-behind 3-2 win Friday at St. Edward's in Austin, Texas.

- LCU has won consecutive 3-2 wins and both have been in come-from-behind fashion. They are now 4-1 in five-set matches this season and are 3-0 in five-set matches on the road. The have won back-to-back five-set matches (in consecutive matches played) for the first time since defeating West Texas A&M and St. Edward's on Nov.6 and Nov.11 of the 2021 season. The last time LCU won consecutive matches in five sets on the road was on Sept.5 (at West Texas A&M) and Sept.10 (at Texas A&M International) of the 2015 season. If Saturday was to lead to another 3-2 win, it would be LCU's first stretch of three consecutive five-set victories (in consecutive overall matches) since Nov.1-8 (Texas Woman's, Midwestern State and St. Mary's) of the 2019 season, which is the program record.

- Kayton Genenbacher has nine double-doubles this season (20 in career) and enters Saturday ranking second in the LSC in assists (602, 31st nationally), third in assists per set (9.41, 49th nationally) and tied for third in aces with 28 (produced a career-high 5 Friday at SEU). Her assists are fueling a Lady Chaps offense that ranks 59th nationally (eighth in the LSC) in kills per set (12.9) and is hitting .200 on the season. Genenbacher surpassed 1,500 career assists on Sept. 23 (at Oklahoma Christian), and has 602 on the season on the season.

- Kiana Fallaha ranks fifth in the LSC in kills per set (3.5) and fourth in kills (226). She is fifth in the LSC in points per set with 3.8. Fallaha is third in the LSC (23rd nationally) with a pace of 10.8 attacks per set and has produced over 40 attacks in 10 matches this season. Friday (at SEU), she notched her ninth double-double of the season (and of her career) and she has double-double performances in five of her last seven matches.

- LCU ranks sixth in the LSC (50th nationally) in digs per set (16.7), but it has been a balanced effort, as the Lady Chaps do not have any representation in the top-15 in conference leaders in digs. Chloe Menard is LCU's leader with 3.61 digs per set, as she has 231 total digs on the season. Four Lady Chaps (Menard, Genenbacher, Olivia Elofsson and Fallaha) have at least 2.7 digs per set.

- Lubbock Christian is 4-1 in true road matches this season, with their most recent road match resulting in a 3-2 LCU win at St. Edward's Friday. LCU has a 287-273 advantage in kills on the road, with Kiana Fallaha averaging 3.48 kills per set. She averages 3.9 points per set in road matches. Chloe Menard averages 3.78 digs per set (leads team) and has eight aces in road matches behind 10 from Kayton Genenbacher. Kalli Dalland has 22 blocks and averages 1.0 on the road. Genenbacher has an average of 9.5 assists per set in 23 road sets played.

- Kiana Fallaha (3.04) and Lily Bickley (2.58) are leading LCU in LSC play in kills per set. Fallaha ranking 18th with 3.37 points per set. Lacie Schooley ranks 25th (.267) in hitting percentage, and mixing in Kalli Dalland (.259, 27th) and Lily Bickley (.259, 28th), places LCU with three players in the top-30 in the conference for hitting (in LSC matches).
