LOOKING AT OKLAHOMA CHRISTIAN
- LCU holds a perfect 5-0 record all-time against the Lady Eagles, which includes a 14-0 advantage in sets. Friday's meeting will mark the third consecutive meeting in Lubbock. Prior to 2021, LCU and OC had not faced each other in volleyball since October 16, 1980 (Lady Chaps claimed a 3-0 win in Oklahoma City at "The Barn," which is now known as the Dave Smith Athletic Center). The first three meetings of the all-time series were played in Oklahoma City, and the two teams are scheduled for a Lone Star Conference match Sept. 23.

- OC is preseason picked 11th in the Lone Star Conference preseason poll. They went 15-14 overall last season and was one of four teams tied for 11th in the LSC with a 6-10 record. They closed the season 2-6 in their final eight matches.

- The Eagles, who entered the week in a three-way tie atop the LSC in aces with 62, head into Saturday tied for fifth in the LSC with 70 aces (UT Permian Basin leads with 76) and they are fourth in aces per set at 1.89). Giorgia Turri, who did not play Friday, leads the LSC with 20 aces (14th nationally). She averages 0.63 aces per set.

- Megan Rek and Camryn McGough co-lead OC with 37 blocks (each), which is tied for eighth in the LSC. They each average 1.00 per set. As a team, OC ranks seventh in the LSC with 2.03 blocks per set.

- OC is making a return trip to Lubbock, as they participated in the Chap Classic last week (went 4-0), and they head into Saturday's match with a 6-4 record. They arrived Thursday on a six-match win streak but fell to Texas Woman's 3-0 and to UTPB 3-2, despite Annie Davis setting the school record for kills in a match with 22 over the five-set match (vs. UTPB).

LADY CHAP NOTES
- LCU was one of 13 unbeaten teams this season before falling 3-2 Thursday to UT Permian Basin. The season start was their best since opening 2010 with an 8-0 record. The loss Thursday also ended an eight-match win streak if include their season-ending win last season (their longest under head coach Keith Giboney and the longest streak since a 12-match win streak in 2018).  The Lady Chaps followed with a 3-0 loss Friday to Texas Woman's, which was their first straight-set loss of the season.

- Kayton Genenbacher has four double-doubles this season and enters Saturday ranking second in the LSC in assists (332, 50th nationally), assists per set (10.06, 23rd nationally) and aces per set (.52) and third in aces (17). Her assists are fueling a Lady Chaps offense that ranks 14th nationally (fourth in the LSC) in kills per set (13.3) and is hitting .208 on the season. Genenbacher's fourth double-double of the season was registered Thursday (vs. UTPB), as she had 53 assists and 11 digs.

- Kiana Fallaha, the reigning LSC Offensive Player of the Week is off to another offensive week,  claiming her fourth double-double of the season Thursday (vs. UTPB) by posting 19 kills and 12 digs. She ranks second in the LSC in kills per set (4.0) and fourth in kills (131). She is fourth in the LSC in points per set with 4.3.

- LCU ranks fifth in the LSC in digs per game (16.7), but it has been a balanced effort, as the Lady Chaps do not have any representation in the top-10 in conference leaders in digs. Chloe Menard is LCU's leader with 3.73 digs per set, as she has 123 total digs on the season (posted 21 against UTPB Thursday). Four Lady Chaps (Menard, Genenbacher, Olivia Elofsson and Fallaha) have at least 2.5 digs per set.

- LCU is 3-2 at home this season. Averaging 12.5 kills per set, LCU is receiving an average of 3.8 kills per set on the homecourt from Kiana Fallaha (4.1 points per set at home). The Lady Chaps are hitting .206 at home and holding their opponents to a .187 mark. Kalli Dalland leads the defensive side with an average of 1.3 blocks per set.
