Furthermore, their final overall score was 625 and +49, one stroke above the second-place finisher, New Mexico Junior College.

Escamilla was supported by six birdies, ranking tied for second most throughout the tournament field.

Senior Anaya Perales completed the tournament in second place in the team standings, carding an overall score of 153 and nine-over-par. This score slotted Perales in fourth place overall. In three tournaments with the Lady Chaps, Perales has never finished lower than second in the team standings or outside the top ten individually.

Escobar shot 161 and +7 through two rounds of play, which ranked her as the twelfth-place individual finisher. Senior Lily Griffin finished in fourth place within the team, as she scored 165 and +11. In addition, Griffin completed the tournament as the 19th overall finisher. In her first team appearance of the season, Senior Rianna LaFuente rounded out the team standings, with a score of 167 and +23, resulting in her ending in a tie for 22nd place.

The top-team finish is the first for the Lady Chaps since the 2021-22 season, which occurred at the Warrior Invitational on March 7-8, 2022. Through three tournaments, Lubbock Christian has not finished lower than second place, which is a new team record.

Lubbock Christian will look to continue their dominant run and close out the Fall season when they return to play at the Midwestern State Invitational. The tournament will be held from Oct. 21-22 at the Wichita Falls Country Club.
