WICHITA FALLS, Texas (October 22, 2024) – Lubbock Christian University completed their stint at the Midwestern State Invitational in 9th place out of 13 schools. The Lady Chaps scored +89 953 through three rounds of play. Odessa College took home the team victory, scoring 899 and 35-over-par.
Alexandra Escamilla ended her outing on top of the Lady Chaps standings, carding a 233 and 17-over-par. Escamilla claimed her third consecutive top-team finish and she finished tied for 28th individually. Following Escamilla, Alejandra Escobar secured her first top two team finish of the season, as she scored +19 235. Furthermore, she finished tied for 35th overall. Escobar led all Lady Chaps in birdies, as she totaled seven in the tournament.
The Lady Chaps standings were completed by Anaya Perales (+21-237 / T-40), her first finish outside the top-two this season, Kyra Schmuhl (+37-253 / T-63) and Rianna LaFuente (+37-253 / T-63).
With the conclusion of the Midwestern State Invitational, the Lady Chaps have finished their Fall schedule. They will return to play in the Spring following a successful Fall stretch, including a victory at the CSU Pueblo Fall Invite.
