LUBBOCK, Texas - The Lubbock Christian University Track and Field program travels across town to compete at the Texas Tech Masked Rider Open held at Fuller Track March 22-23.

Last Meet (WT Spring Break Open, Mar. 15-16)
LCU kicked off the 2024 outdoor season with seven first place finishes at the WT Spring Break Open.

For the LCU women, Jozlyn Arana ran a time of 57.11 to finish first in the 400 meter dash. In the 800 meter, Olivia Weider finished first with a time of 2:24.79. Coulter Reel ran a 1:11.92 to finish first in the 400 meter hurdles. Freshmen Alyssa Singletary jumped 1.64 meters in high jump to take home gold. 

On the men's side, Caden Nunn ran a 1:55.62 in the 800 meter to finish first. The team of Keitron Boyd, Trael Robertson, George Garcia, and Nathaniel Luna took him first in the 4X100 meter relay running a time of 40.81. Bryce Spencer threw 62.09 meters in the hammer throw to finish first. 

2023 Outdoor Season
The Men's program had eight all-conference honorees last season headlined by Outstanding Field Athlete and First Team All-Conference selection Bryce Spencer. Joining Spencer on the First Team was Kevin Washington. George Garcia, Nathan Karseno, Keitron Boyd, Ryan Gordon, and Chris Rader were named to the Second Team and Dustin Bryant was listed on the Third Team. 

LCU had 12 athlete's qualify for outdoor nationals in 2023. On the women's side, Anna Salisbury qualified in the 400-meter. She also anchored the 4X400 meter relay team with teammates Joy Egwu, Jozlyn Arana, and Reanna Argullin. 

For the LCU men, Washington, Spencer, Boyd, Garcia, Gordon, Rader, Nathaniel Luna, and Trael Robertson qualified for the national championships.
