AUSTIN, Texas (September 27, 2024) – Lubbock Christian University looks to rebound from a 2-1 loss in their Lone Star Conference opener (Wednesday at home to Midwestern State), as LCU plays its first conference road game Saturday against St. Edward's Hilltoppers (1 p.m. start).

The Hilltoppers enter the match with a balanced 2-2-2 record and 0-0-1 in Lone Star play. They ended their first conference match in a 0-0 draw with UT-Tyler in Tyler. St. Edward's will be in pursuit of their first conference win, as well as their first home win since September 21st, when they defeated then 18th-ranked Colorado Mesa 2-0.
St. Edward's and Lubbock Christian have met consistently over the past decade with the first meeting happening on October 28th, 2013, which was a 3-0 Hilltopper victory. Over the series history, St. Edward's holds the commanding 14-2-2 advantage over the Lady Chaps and have victories in three of the last five matches. The Hilltoppers won last season's meeting 2-0 in Lubbock. LCU is 1-6-1 all-time in Austin, with their lone victory coming in their prior visit (Oct. 22, 2022) with a 5-1 final.
Avery Jennings leads the Lady Chaps offense with two goals and two assists through six games, tallying 13 shots with a shooting percentage of 15.4%.
