Perales and Cannell Lead the Charge as Lady Chaps Swing Into Contention in Wichita Falls

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (October 20, 2025) — Led by senior Anaya Perales and freshman Nadalie Cannell, the Lubbock Christian University women's golf team sits in a tie for sixth place after two rounds of the Midwestern State Invitational, carding 307–306 = 613 (+37) on Monday at Wichita Falls Country Club (5,822 yards | par 72).

Perales continued her fall momentum with rounds of 73–74 = 147 (+3), good for a tie for eighth place individually in the 90-player field. The Midland, Texas native was outstanding on the par 5s, leading all players in the tournament with a 4.38 scoring average (-5) across the long holes. Her day featured eight birdies — tied for the fourth-most among all competitors.
