Anaya Perales capped an impressive fall campaign in record-breaking fashion, leading the Lubbock Christian University women's golf team to a sixth-place finish at the Midwestern State Invitational, where the Lady Chaps posted a team total of 919 (307–306–306, +55) at Wichita Falls Country Club (5,856 yards | par 72).
Perales delivered one of the best performances in program history, setting a new program record for a 54-hole tournament score with a 220 (73–74–73, +4). The Midland, Texas native secured her first top-10 finish of the season and the eighth of her LCU career, placing 10th overall in a competitive 90-player field. She also ranked tied for second in par-5 scoring (4.50, −6) and carded 13 birdies, the second-most in the entire field.
Freshman
Nadalie Cannell wrapped up a strong fall with a tie for 18th after rounds of 75–73–78 = 226 (+10), marking her third top-20 finish of the semester. The Oregon native finished tied for 10
th with 10 birdies and was among the team's steadiest scorers.
Senior Ali Escamilla finished tied for 31st (77–75–80 = 232, +16), highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 No. 6 in Round 1, while junior
Hailey Hays carded her lowest round of the fall with a final-round 75 (+3), fueled by an eagle on the par-5 No. 10. Hays' strong finish helped her climb 16 spots on the leaderboard to tie for 61st (83–84–75 = 242, +26). Senior
Alejandra Escobar completed the LCU lineup at 254 (+38).
LCU's three-round team total of 919 marked the fifth-best 54-hole score in program history and their second-best 54-hole total of the 2025–26 season. The Lady Chaps tied for second in eagles (2), ranked sixth in total birdies (36), and held steady in the upper half of the 16-team field throughout all three rounds.
National powerhouse Dallas Baptist University (872, −4) captured the team title, followed by Odessa College (878, +2) and St. Mary's (882, +10). DBU's Ella Cheek earned medalist honors with rounds of 69–69–70 = 208 (−8).
The Midwestern State Invitational concluded the Lady Chaps' fall schedule, with LCU now turning its focus to the spring championship slate beginning in February.
