Amondo Miller Jr. was named the Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Miller Jr. averaged 28 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and 2.5 steals to fuel wins away from home over Colorado Mesa and Fort Lewis. The Colorado native, who wins the league's top weekly award for the second time this season, shot 51.4 percent from the field and hit 12 of 19 three-point attempts. He made all but one of his seven free-throw attempts. Miller Jr., who also added three blocks, had a double double and five assists in each game.
On the season, Miller Jr. is averaging 24.7 points per game on 57.4 percent shooting. He is also efficient from beyond the arc, hitting 58.1 percent of his three-point attempts. He is also averaging 8.0 rebounds per game with 11 steals and five blocks.
The Chaps are a perfect 6-0 so far this year, which is their best start to a season since 2021. LCU is off this week, but will start conference play next week at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 3 against UT Permian Basin at the Rip Griffin Center.
