Lubbock Christian Returns Home for Pivotal Conference Doubleheader

LUBBOCK, Texas (February 28, 2025) – No. 22 Lubbock Christian University returns to Maner Park Friday for a Lone Star Conference doubleheader against Texas A&M International, with first pitch set for 4 p.m.

LCU and TAMIU Series Snapshot
  • Lubbock Christian holds a 25-11 all-time series lead over Texas A&M International.
  • The Lady Chaps have won seven of the last 10 matchups, though TAMIU claimed the most recent meeting (2-1 on March 24, 2024, in Lubbock), as LCU won two of the three-games in their LSC series in Lubbock.

  • Lubbock Christian University continues its strong start to the season, holding a 13-5 overall record and a 4-4 mark in Lone Star Conference play. The Lady Chaps have been dominant at Maner Park (8-1) and have found success in neutral-site contests (4-1), though they are 1-3 on the road. LCU's offense has been explosive, outscoring opponents 127-71, and they currently sit tied for fourth in the LSC West Division standings. Coming off a bounce-back 11-1 win over Texas Woman's, LCU looks to build momentum as they return home for a doubleheader against Texas A&M International.

Looking at TAMIU
  • Texas A&M International (12-7, 6-2 LSC) is on a five-game winning streak, sitting second in the East Division. The Dustdevils are undefeated at home (4-0) and have been solid in neutral-site games (6-4). They opened the season strong with key wins in early tournaments but faced some road struggles (2-3). Recent conference victories, including sweeps over Texas Permian Basin and Sul Ross State, have kept them in the hunt.
  • The Dustdevils rank 4th in the conference in earned run average (3.23) and shutouts (3).
