INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 16, 2025) Lubbock Christian University completed their 2025 indoor track and field season after competing in two events at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships over the weekend.
Anna Salisbury was the first Lubbock Christian athlete to compete at the national meet, snagging a sixth-place finish in the 400-meter dash preliminary round. She clocked in at 54.12 in the opening round, which advanced her to the finals in the event. Returning to the track on Saturday, Salisbury improved to fifth place overall with a time of 53.86, which was a season best in her final appearance this year.
For the men, the Chaparrals' 4x400 relay was the lone event that saw action in Indianapolis. The team consisting of Reuel Campbell, Daniel Sianez, Chris Moffett and Que Fields continued to impress after a record-shattering season. While they failed to eclipse their previous record mark, they recorded a time of 3:11.81 and finished seventh in the event. Furthermore, they were the second highest finishers from the Lone Star Conference, finishing narrowly behind Angelo State.
After a successful and historic indoor season, Lubbock Christian will make the transition to outdoor competition, with meets beginning this weekend. The Chaparrals and Lady Chaps will make the short trip north to Canyon on March 21 to take part in the West Texas Relays, hosted by West Texas A&M.
