Lady Chaps Bring Unbeaten Streak Against UTPB Into Crucial LSC West Clash

LUBBOCK, Texas (April 11, 2025) – Lubbock Christian University looks to climb above .500 in Lone Star Conference play as it returns to Maner Park on Friday to open a four-game homestand. The Lady Chaps will host UT Permian Basin in a Lone Star Conference West Division doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m., wrapping up the season series and four-game LSC set between the two programs.

  • Lubbock Christian owns a perfect 39-0 all-time record against UT Permian Basin.

LCU owns wins over several top-half teams, including Angelo State and Oklahoma Christian, and has posted double-digit runs in seven games. Battling for a berth to the Lone Star Conference Championship, LCU sits ninth in the LSC overall standings.
  • Baylea Myers continues to be a steady presence in the Lubbock Christian lineup, ranking 9th in the Lone Star Conference and 111th nationally with a .403 batting average. She leads the Lady Chaps with 51 hits (12th in LSC), 82 total bases (13th in LSC), and is tied for 5th in the conference with three sacrifice flies. Myers has also driven in 32 runs and leads the team with six home runs.
  • The Lady Chaps remain a dangerous power-hitting team, ranking 7th in the LSC and 46th nationally with 28 home runs. Myers leads the team with six, followed by Kendra Levesque with five and Ashlinn Hamilton with four. Nine different players have left the yard this season.

  • UT Permian Basin enters the weekend 8-34 overall and 3-29 in Lone Star Conference play, sitting at the bottom of the LSC West Division standings.
  • The Falcons are riding a two-game win streak after sweeping Sul Ross State in a non-conference doubleheader on April 6.
  • UTPB ranks last in the LSC in team batting average (.241), ERA (5.72), and fielding percentage (.934). The Falcons also rank last in the LSC in slugging percentage (.310), on-base percentage (.306), and RBIs per game (2.55), and sits 15th in both runs scored (126) and home runs (10).
