LUBBOCK, Texas (April 4, 2025) – Lubbock Christian University took part in the weather-adjusted Masked Rider Open Thursday.
Anna Salisbury continued a strong stretch, following her LSC Outdoor Athlete of Week selection for her efforts last week. She torched another school and personal record, with a 23.98 in the 200-meter dash. This time also secured Salisbury her third provisional mark of the outdoor season.
The women's 4x100 relay broke their record that was set last meet, setting a new record of 46.67. Anika Beukes, Joy Egwu, Jozlyn Arana and Anna Salisbury moved closer to the provisional mark time of 46.50 in a record breaking season.
Trael Roberton notched Lubbock Christian's second-best time of the outdoor season in the 200-meter dash, with a 21.57. Chris Moffett and Aden Soto had standout performances in the event as well, clocking in at 21.57 and 21.73, respectively.
Lubbock Christian will head back to Canyon for their second meet of the outdoor season, taking part in Jo Meaker Classic & Multi. The Lady Chaps and Chaparrals will begin competition April 10 and wrap up April 12 at the WTAMU Track & Field Complex.
