Multiple Athletes and Groups Saw Record Performances in Final Meet

CANYON, Texas (May 12, 2025) -- Lubbock Christian University took part in the WT Last Chance Meet Sunday, with several athletes making a push toward national qualification.

The men's 4x400 relay team of Daniel Sianez, Que Fields, Reuel Campbell and Chris Moffett raced to a provisional mark and school record. They had a time of 3:07.99, surpassing the previous time of 3:08.70 set in 2023. Notably, these four athletes claimed the indoor record in the event this season, as well.

Another relay reached provisional status, as Aden Soto, Trael Robertson, Que Fields and Chris Moffett timed in at 40.55 in the 4x100 relay. They became the third combination this season to gain a provisional mark in the event and had the second fastest time, as well.

Jumper duo, Preston Neumeier and Kevin Washington, competed at the event, as each sought to improve their marks before national selection. In the long jump, Neumeier had a mark of 7.07 meters, falling shy of his season best of 7.33 meters. Washington had a distance of 14.82 meters in the triple jump, which secured another provisional mark in the event.

Joy Egwu and Olivia Weider were the lone Lady Chaps who participated in the meet. Egwu had a time of 12.21 in the 100-meter dash, finishing fifth in the event. Weider was the lone 3000-meter steeplechase participant and clocked in at 11:44.96.

Lubbock Christian will now await the announcement of selections to the NCAA DII Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The meet will be held on May 22-24 in Pueblo, Colo. at the Neta and Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl.
