Two Events Gain Podium Finishes to Close Memorable Season

PUEBLO, Colo. (May 25, 2025) -- Lubbock Christian University completed their 2025 track & field season at the NCAA DII Outdoor Championships. They had participants in four events, as they took home school records and national awards following the three-day meet.

Anna Salisbury closed her incredible senior season with a silver medal finish in the women's 400-meter dash. Salisbury battled through a competitive field to claim a new personal best and school record of 52.22. In addition, she became the only individual to have a podium finish for Lubbock Christian. Furthermore, she is the only individual to reach the podium at both the indoor and outdoor championships.

The men's 4x400 relay made the podium, as well, following their sixth-place performance with a time of 3:07.31. The group consisting of Daniel Sianez, Que Fields, Reuel Campbell and Chris Moffett raced to the best time in the preliminaries, as they clocked in with a school record time of 3:05.73. Notably, this group received national recognition at both the indoor and outdoor championships this season.

Next, Kevin Washington saw his season close after a 14 th place ranking in the long jump. Washington had a distance of 7.31 meters in the event. He was the only field event participant for Lubbock Christian in either the indoor or outdoor championships this season.

Lastly, freshman Daniel Sianez completed his first trip to the outdoor meet with a 19 th place finish in the 400-meter dash. He timed in at 47.69, as he became the only LCU male track athlete to compete at either national meet.

Lubbock Christian closed their memorable and historic season after the meet. The season was highlighted by several broken records and three events that received national awards at both championship meets. The Chaparrals and Lady Chaps will return in 2026 poised for another strong season.
