LOOKING AT OC
- LCU is 10–1 all-time against Oklahoma Christian, winning the first seven matchups in the series before taking their first loss in 2024—a 3–0 setback on Nov. 8, 2024, in Lubbock. The Lady Chaps captured the first 14 sets ever played between the programs, and five of the last eight meetings have taken place in Lubbock. LCU swept OC last season, defeating OC in a LSC Challenge match, a regular season match and a LSC Championships match. The all-time series dates back to 1979, but the teams did not face each other after a 1980 contest until 2021, as OC did not field the program. LCU is 5-0 all-time against OC in Oklahoma City.
- Oklahoma Christian enters Saturday at 8-8 overall and 2-3 in Lone Star Conference play after falling 3-1 to Midwestern State on Friday inside Eagles' Nest. OC won the opening set 25-19 before dropping the next three 25-23, 25-22 and 25-23. The loss snapped the Lady Eagles' one-match win streak and moved them to 3-3 at home this season. OC has split its last four conference matches, with wins over UT Tyler and UT Permian Basin and losses to Angelo State and Midwestern State.
- Junior outside hitter Chloe Jones continues to lead a balanced Oklahoma Christian attack with 161 kills and averages 2.93 per set.
