GUNNISON, Colo. (August 29, 2026) – Lubbock Christian University continued its perfect start Saturday, sweeping Southwestern Oklahoma State 26-24, 25-19, 29-27 at the Virginia Harris/Jeanie Miller Invitational inside Paul Wright Gym.
The Lady Chaparrals improved to 3-0 with their third consecutive straight-set victory, marking the program's best such start since opening the 2011 season with three consecutive sweeps.
LCU overcame a tightly contested match that featured 27 tie scores, including 14 in the third set. The Lady Chaps finished with 42 kills and eight total blocks while holding Southwestern Oklahoma State to a .109 attack percentage.
Camdyn Sears produced her first double-double of the season and the 24th of her LCU career, finishing with 28 assists and 15 digs. She also established a career high with four blocks, including one solo.
Camryn Blair led LCU with 12 kills for her third consecutive double-figure performance to open the season.
Tatum Fleitman added six kills without an attack error and hit .353, while
Kayson Reeves contributed seven kills and a team-high six block assists.
Aubree Lundberg delivered at crucial moments, putting away the final point of the opening set before providing LCU's final two kills in the third. After Southwestern Oklahoma State reached set point at 27-26, Reeves tied the frame before Lundberg struck twice to complete the sweep.
LCU has recorded eight total blocks in each of its first three matches.

Aubree Lundberg had four kills, but at opportune times, as she had the clinching kill of the 26-24 win in the first set, and the final two kills of the third set to put LCU up 28-27 and the clinching 29-27-point.
