LADY CHAP HEADERS

• Lubbock Christian University faces its first road test in Lone Star Conference play on Saturday, taking on Oklahoma Christian at 11 a.m. at Eagle Soccer Field
• Kali Guy scored LCU's lone goal in Wednesday's LSC opener, becoming the ninth different Lady Chap to find the back of the net so far this season
• With three goals and one assist, Logan Holloway currently ranks sixth in the Lone Star Conference in total points with seven, and she has had a point in three of five matches
• The Lady Chaps are 14-1-2 all-time against the Lady Eagles in the series dating back to 2010, with their only loss coming in 2024 in Oklahoma City by a score of 2-0
• LCU has only lost once through its first five matches, making this their best start to a season since 2021, when they did not lose their second match until the 10th game of the year

 
OFFENSIVE OUTPUT
Lubbock Christian enters the weekend rank No. 23 in all of Division II in scoring with an average of 2.8 goals per game. They have not been shut out yet this season and have had nine different players score at least once, including four players with multiple goals. In 2025, 13 different LCU players scored goals. Holloway leads the way with three goals and has a ridiculous shots on goal percentage of 857. As a team, the Lady Chaps are averaging 15.2 shots per game and putting 51.3 percent of those on frame.
 
HOW CAN I HELP YOU?
On their 14 goals scored so far in 2026, LCU has tallied 12 assists, or 2.40 per game, which also ranks inside the top 25 nationally and is third-best in the LSC. Eight different Lady Chaps have assisted at least one goal this year. Three players have multiple assists, including Kaslee Roskelley, who assisted LCU's lone goal on Wednesday against the Buffs. Lauren Rotan leads the team in this category, having recorded three assists already this year.
 
SHOT STOPPERS
The Lady Chaps held West Texas A&M to just 10 shots on Wednesday, which was the Lady Buffs' second-lowest single-game total of the year. LCU's goals against average this season is 1.20, which ranks seventh in the LSC. Lubbock Christian opponents are averaging 11.8 shots per game and putting just 47.5 percent of those shots on frame. Freshman Araceli Patterson has anchored the back line, leading the team with 405 minutes played in her first collegiate campaign.
 
IN THE WRIGHT PLACES
LCU's last line of defense is senior goalkeeper Emma Wright, who started all 18 games in 2025 and has started every game against a Division II opponent this year. Wright, who recently surpassed the 100-save mark for her career, has faced 49 shots, making 16 saves with a save percentage of .762. She and the Lady Chaps have one shutout under their belts so far this season, in a game against CSU-Pueblo where the Longview, Texas, native made a season-high six saves. On Wednesday against WT, she made three saves, including one in the 82^nd minute to preserve the draw.
 
ROAD JOURNAL
This weekend's contests mark the third of nine road games on the season for Lubbock Christian. LCU is currently 2-0 away from home and went 4-3-1 away from home in 2025, marking the first time they were better than .500 on the road since 2019. The road wins so far this year have come against Western Colorado and CSU-Pueblo. Saturday's contest will be played at Eagle Soccer Field, which has been the home of OC soccer since 1986 and features a natural grass playing surface.
 
DOOM, NOT GLOOM
LCU junior defender Trinity Doom was the hero of both of LCU's road games so far this season, scoring back-to-back game-winners in Colorado. Her first goal of the season was the third one scored by LCU in the 8-2 route of Western Colorado. She followed that up by scoring the lone goal against CSU-Pueblo, heading home a 61st minute corner kick to win the game. Doom played 160 minutes across the two matches, including the full 90 against the Thunderwolves, in which the Lady Chaps notched their first shutout of the year. Doom played 59 minutes in Wednesday's match against WT, attempting two shots.
 
SCOUTING THE EAGLES

• Oklahoma Christian started Lone Star Conference play with a loss on Wednesday, falling 2-0 to Texas Woman's in Denton
• The Eagles are averaging 1.60 goals per game, which ranks them ninth in the Lone Star Conference
• Breanna Wooten has handled the majority of the goalkeeping duties, making 19 saves with a .864 save percentage
• Head coach Evan Dresel is in his sixth season leading the Eagles and has a 20-32-16 record at OC
• Half of Oklahoma Christian's six goals this season have been scored by Caid Jefferson, who also leads the team with 13 shots, 11 of which have been on goal
