LUBBOCK, Texas (September 25, 2026) – After playing their first 12 matches away from home, Lubbock Christian University is finally home. The Lady Chaparrals open a three-match homestand with a pair of weekend matches, hosting St. Mary's Friday at 6 p.m. and St. Edward's Saturday at 2 p.m. for a pair of Lone Star Conference matches inside Rip Griffin Center.

LADY CHAP NOTES
- LCU returns to Lubbock for its first home matches of the season after opening Lone Star Conference play with a 1-1 road split. The Lady Chaps swept Sul Ross State 3-0 in Alpine before falling 3-0 at Western New Mexico, moving to 5-7 overall and 1-1 in conference play. Friday's 6 p.m. matchup with St. Mary's will mark LCU's home opener inside Rip Griffin Center, followed by a Saturday meeting with St. Edward's at 2 p.m.
 
- The Lady Chaps finally return home after playing their first 12 matches away from Lubbock. LCU opened the season with seven neutral-site matches and five true road contests, posting a 4-3 neutral record and a 1-4 road mark. The win at Sul Ross State was LCU's first true road victory of the season. LCU joins UT Tyler as the only LSC programs that have yet to play at home this season.
 
- Friday marks LCU's home debut. The Lady Chaps, who closed out the home schedule last season with a 3-2 win over Midwestern State, went 11-3 at home last season. LCU is 13-4 in home openers since 2008. They had a seven-game win streak in home openers snapped last season, falling to Colorado State Pueblo 3-0 on Sept. 11, 2025.
 
- LCU produced one of its strongest offensive performances of the season in the conference opener at Sul Ross State, hitting .339 with 53 kills in the three-set victory. The .339 attack percentage was LCU's second-best mark of the season, behind only the .376 performance against Sul Ross State in the teams' first meeting Aug. 28. The Lady Chaps also placed three players in double figures in kills and four in double figures in digs in the victory.
 
-  Camdyn Sears enters the home-opening weekend riding a four-match double-double streak. The sophomore setter followed 40 assists and 11 digs at Sul Ross State with 18 assists and 12 digs at Western New Mexico, giving her six double-doubles this season and 29 in her LCU career. Sears has recorded five double-doubles over the last six matches and leads LCU with 309 assists while averaging 8.13 per set, which ranks fifth in the Lone Star Conference.
 
- Camryn Blair continues to lead the Lady Chap offense with 105 kills and 122.0 points through 12 matches. She averages 3.00 kills per set and ranks 13th in the LSC in that category while sitting 10th in points per set at 3.49. Blair recorded the first double-double of her collegiate career at Sul Ross State with 15 kills and a career-high 10 digs while hitting .429. She has five double-figure kill performances this season.
 
- Freshman middle blocker Kayson Reeves remains LCU's most efficient regular attacker, hitting .283 with 79 kills through 38 sets. Reeves also leads the Lady Chaps with 32 total blocks and averages 0.84 per set. Her season has included a 10-kill performance on a .643 hitting percentage against No. 21 Lynn and nine kills on a .471 clip in the conference-opening victory at Sul Ross State.
 
- Tatum Fleitman has provided increased offensive production entering the home weekend. Fleitman led LCU with seven kills while hitting .333 at Western New Mexico and now has 56 kills on the season while hitting .269. She ranks second among LCU regular attackers in hitting percentage behind Reeves and has produced 18 total blocks. Her season high remains 12 kills against Converse.
 
- LCU's defensive production has increased over the last several matches. The Lady Chaps matched a season high with 65 digs against Angelo State, followed with 62 digs in the three-set victory at Sul Ross State and enter the weekend averaging 14.76 digs per set. Ramsey Clark leads LCU with 133 digs and averages 3.50 per set, while Sears has 120 digs and Leigh Jespersen has 79.
 
- Through 12 matches, LCU is averaging 11.37 kills, 10.34 assists, 14.76 digs, 1.53 service aces and 1.74 blocks per set while hitting .153. The Lady Chaps rank ninth in the LSC in digs per set and 10th in team attacks per set. Individually, Sears ranks fifth in the conference in assists per set, Blair ranks 10th in points per set and Reeves ranks 15th in blocks per set.
 
- LCU enters the second week of Lone Star Conference play tied among a large group of teams at 1-1. Five programs — Angelo State, DBU, Texas A&M-Kingsville, UT Dallas and Midwestern State — remain unbeaten in conference play, while LCU, St. Mary's, St. Edward's, Western New Mexico, UT Tyler, Oklahoma Christian, West Texas A&M and Eastern New Mexico each enter the week at .500 in league action. The Lady Chaps went 15-2 in LSC play last season and shared the conference regular-season championship.
 
LOOKING AT StMU
- St. Mary's holds a 17-13 advantage in the all-time series dating back to 1980. LCU has won 11 of the last 18 meetings in the series, but the Rattlers have won four of the previous six meetings, including a 3-0 win in Lubbock on Oct. 1, 2022 (3-0). The meeting in Lubbock has been the only meeting in Lubbock since 2019, as five of the last seven meetings have been in San Antonio. LCU is 4-3 all-time in Lubbock against StMU, with a 3-1 win on Oct. 27, 2018 marking LCU's last win over the Rattlers in Lubbock.
 
-  St. Mary's comes to Lubbock with an 8-4 overall record and a 1-1 mark in Lone Star Conference play. The Rattlers opened league action by pushing No. 6 Angelo State to five sets, winning the first two frames 25-22 and 33-31 before falling 3-2. They responded the following day with a 3-1 victory over UT Permian Basin. StMU has won four of its last five matches and is 2-0 in true road contests this season. Friday begins a two-match road weekend for the Rattlers, who travel to Midwestern State on Saturday.
 
- Graduate outside hitter Laurene Robinson has emerged as one of the top offensive players in NCAA Division II. The two-time reigning LSC Offensive Player of the Week has recorded double-digit kills in all 12 matches, including five performances with at least 20. Robinson leads the LSC with 4.26 kills and 4.82 points per set while ranking 11th and ninth nationally, respectively. She has 226 kills while hitting .359, which ranks second in the conference. Robinson totaled 41 kills and hit .414 during the opening LSC weekend, including 26 kills on a .489 clip against Angelo State.
 
- Senior setter Haleigh Wilk directs the St. Mary's offense with 478 assists and averages 9.02 per set, ranking second in the LSC. Wilk is also hitting .337 with 45 kills and has contributed 114 digs and 16 service aces. She recorded her fifth double-double of the season against UT Permian Basin with 38 assists and a career-high 17 digs. Kaylee Cavazos anchors the back row with 195 digs at 3.68 per set, while Taylor Alston complements Robinson offensively with 143 kills and a team-high 20 service aces.
 
- St. Mary's has combined offensive efficiency with significant pressure from the service line. The Rattlers are hitting .240 as a team, ranking third in the LSC and 46th nationally, while their 2.02 aces per set rank fourth in the conference. StMU's 107 total service aces lead the LSC and rank 20th nationally. The Rattlers also hold opponents to a .182 hitting percentage. Freshman middle blocker Madyson Carr leads the front-row defense with 45 total blocks, while Olivia Rubio has 40 and Robinson has 32.
