LUBBOCK, Texas (September 29, 2026) – Lubbock Christian University closed its season-opening three-match homestand Tuesday with a 3-1 loss (23-25, 25-23, 25-22, 26-24) to Eastern New Mexico in Lone Star Conference play inside Rip Griffin Center.
The Lady Chaparrals fell to 7-8 overall, 3-2 in LSC play and 2-1 at home, while Eastern New Mexico improved to 5-10 and 2-3.
Sophomore
Aubree Lundberg delivered a career performance for LCU, finishing with a career-high 16 kills on a .423 hitting percentage while adding three blocks. It marked her first collegiate match with double-figure kills.
Freshman
Kayson Reeves matched a career high with 12 kills and added three blocks, while
Camryn Blair finished with 10 kills for her seventh double-figure performance of the season.
Camdyn Sears directed the offense with 38 assists and added six digs.
The match featured 28 ties, including 18 in a tightly contested fourth set. LCU pulled even at 24-24 on a Blair kill before Eastern New Mexico scored the final two points to close the match.
LCU finished with 53 kills, matching a season high, and hit .197. Eastern New Mexico countered with 55 kills and a .208 attack percentage.
The loss snapped LCU's four-match winning streak in the series and marked the Lady Chaps' first defeat this season after winning the opening set.

» The two programs combined for 22 serving errors (each had 11), which is the highest total for combined teams involving LCU in the program's NCAA era. It marks the third time this season an LCU opponent has hit double figures in serving errors, and the 11 serving errors is the highest total by an LCU opponent since Colorado State Pueblo had 11 on Sept. 13, 2025.

- The Lady Chaps built a 12-6 lead, with
Aubree Lundberg recording three kills during a four-point stretch.
- ENMU answered with a 5-0 run to get within 13-12 and later tied the set at 15-15 on a block by Aaliyah Butler and Amya Speller.
- The Lady Chaps scored the next three points, including blocks involving Lundberg,
Camdyn Sears and
Camryn Blair, then pushed the margin to 20-16.

Kayson Reeves put the Lady Chaps ahead 24-20 with a kill, and after ENMU scored the next three points, Blair finished the set with a kill from Sears for a 25-23 win.

- The Lady Chaps built an early 6-2 lead and later moved ahead 17-13 behind kills from Reeves, Lundberg,
Hope Gonsioroski and

- ENMU scored five straight to move in front 18-17, but Blair tied the set with a kill and then served the Lady Chaps through a four-point push to 22-18 that included her ace and two Lundberg kills.
- ENMU answered with five consecutive points to take a 23-22 lead. Gonsioroski tied it at 23-23, but the Greyhounds took the final two points to win the set 25-23 to cap a 7-1 run.

- ENMU moved ahead 7-2 after an early 2-2 tie, but the Lady Chaps answered with a Sears kill, a Greyhounds error and a
Tatum Fleitman kill to cut the deficit to 7-5.
- The Lady Chaps stayed within reach through the middle of the set, and kills from
Camryn Blair and Lundberg brought the margin to 15-14 before ENMU won five of the next six points to move ahead 20-15.
- Blair added back-to-back kills during a late push, and kills from Lundberg and Fleitman pulled the Lady Chaps within 24-22 before Amya Speller finished the set for ENMU, 25-22.
