Saturday, October 11th - 5:00 PM
Dustdevil Field (Laredo, Texas)

LADY CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
•    The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals play their first conference road games of the season heading to Texas A&M International (Laredo, Texas) Saturday and St. Mary's (San Antonio, Texas) Monday in attempt to keep a perfect conference record in tact.
•    LCU enters the weekend 1-0-0 in conference play following a 2-0 conference opening win over Texas-Permian Basin to improve to 5-0-0 all-time in conference openers.
•    The Lady Chaps are 3-2-0 on the road this season and 12-10-0 all-time under head coach Alex Denning. LCU went 4-4-0 last season on the road and they are 23-15-3 all-time on the road.

STORY LINES
•   Last season, LCU went 4-1 in conference road play, with the loss coming in their final road game of the season (Oct. 28, 2013 at St. Mary's).
•    LCU has outscored their opponents 10-3 in the first half this season. They have scored the first goal in seven of their nine games this season and they have won six of the seven games when scoring first. They have not won a game this season when surrendering the opening goal.
•    Brooke Wendl enters the weekend leading the squad with eight goals and 20 points on the season. Her totals are also co-leading the Heartland Conference. She leads the conference with 2.5 points per game (tied for seventh nationally), 1 goal per game (tied for eighth nationally), .50 assists per game (tied for 37th nationally) and with four game winning goals (tied for fourth nationally).
•    All seven of LCU's goal scorers have at least a .500% shooting percentage of shots on goal. Kristin Fellows (5 of 8, .625), Claudia Sanchez (12 of 21, .571), Brooke Wendl (15 of 30), Jamie Boone (13 of 26, .500), Ashley Ledford (8 of 16, .500) Audra Park (5 of 10) and Shannon Rogers (2 of 4, .500) each have a .500 percentage or better.
•    LCU leads the Heartland Conference with 26 goals on the season (tied for 12th in the nation) and goals per game (2.9, which ranks tied for fifth nationally). Their 26 goals to enter the weekend, is two shy of last season's total of 28.
•    Goalkeeper Lauren Story registered her fourth shutout of the season in a win over Texas-Permian Basin (co-leads the conference) and it was her program career-leading 11th of the season. Story enters the weekend set of games with an active shutout sequence of 190:10 in conference games dating back to Nov. 2, 2013 against Dallas Baptist.

SCOUTING TAMIU
•    The Dustdevils have a record of 4-3-1 on the season, which does not include a 2-2 non-overtime tie against Texas Brownsville on Sept. 7. They are 2-0-0 in conference play.
•    TAMIU enters the week riding a three-game win streak following conference overtime wins last weekend at Newman (1-0) and Rogers State (3-2).
•    The game against LCU is only the third home game of the season for TAMIU. They are 0-1-0 this season at home and 0-1-1 if you include the 2-2 contest against UTB.
•    An aggressive squad, TAMIU leads the conference with 16 yellow cards (LCU has three in comparison).
•    Kim Garcia leads the Dustdevils with seven goals (third in the conference) and 15 points (fourth in conference) on the season. She has four goals in her last three games.

SERIES HISTORY WITH TAMIU
•    LCU leads the all-time series 1-0-0 after a 3-0 win in Lubbock on Oct.14 last season.
