Lady Chaps Closing Their Season Monday Looking For Big W in Big D

LADY CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
•    The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals close out their 2014 season Monday in Dallas facing Dallas Baptist.  
•    LCU enters the contest 6-1-0 in conference play following a 3-0 shutout win over Oklahoma Christian. The win places their overall record at 11-5-0.
•    The Lady Chaps are 6-3-0 on the road this season and 15-11-0 all-time under head coach Alex Denning. LCU went 4-4-0 last season on the road and they are 25-21-2 all-time on the road.

STORY LINES
•   The Lady Chaparrals are 2-0-2 all-time in regular season finales.
•    LCU has outscored their opponents 17-6 in the first half this season. LCU has scored the first goal in 12 of their 16 games this season and they have won 11 of the 12 games when scoring first. They have not won a game this season when surrendering the opening goal (0-4-0).
•   Brooke Wendl leads the Heartland Conference in points (35, ranks tied for seventh nationally), points per game (2.3, ranks tied for seventh nationally), goals (14, ranks tied for ninth nationally), goals per game (0.9, ranks tied for 10th nationally) and game winning goals (6, ranks tied for fourth nationally).
•     The Lady Chaps already celebrated Senior Day, but with Monday's contest serving as the final game, it will be the final game with LCU for Coree Childree.
•    LCU leads the Heartland Conference with 42 goals on the season (tied for 21st in the nation) and goals per game (2.8, which ranks tied for 13th nationally). The program single-season record for goals is 50 from the 2012 season.
•    If LCU can close out the season with a win, it will match their program single season wins record (12 from 2012). LCU is averaging 2.1 assists per game and their single season record is 2.3 from 2012.  The Lady Chaps averaged 7.56 points per game that season and this season, they are averaging 7.4 points per game. LCU has allowed 19 goals through 16 games, with their program single season low sitting at 21 from 2013. Lauren Story has 11 goalkeeping wins this season, which is a new single season individual mark. She also matches a single season program mark with seven shutouts.
 
SCOUTING DBU
•    The Patriots are 12-3-1 overall and 6-1-0 in conference following a 3-0 win Saturday against Texas-Permian Basin.
•    DBU is 3-2-0 at home this season and Saturday's game was their first at home since Oct. 4. The win Saturday ended a two-game home losing streak.
•    They enter the game on an eight-game win streak.
•    Dallas Baptist entered the weekend leading the conference with an average of 18.1 shots per game. Ashley Cox entered the weekend leading the conference individually with a pace of 4.3 per game.

SERIES HISTORY WITH DBU
•    DBU leads the all-time series 1-0-0.
•    This meeting marks their first in Dallas, as last season's meeting took place in Lubbock and resulted in a 5-0 DBU win (Nov. 2).
•    LCU has never lost a game in Dallas County (3-0) and has outscored the opposition 24-0 in those three games (10-0 win over Dallas Christian, 3-0 win over Northwood and a 11-0 win over Wiley in a neutral site game).
