All-time Series: StMU leads 10-5

History between Lubbock Christian and St. Mary's
The Rattlers own a 10-5 edge over LCU in a series that began in 1980, but the Lady Chaps have taken the last three matches from StMU.
Last meeting amongst the squads
Kingsville, Texas (September 11, 2015) – Lubbock Christian volleyball opened Day One of the Emerald Beach Hotel-Javelina Volleyball Tournament with a split that included a 3-0 loss to Drury followed by a 3-1 win over Heartland Conference member St. Mary's Friday inside the Gil H. Steinke Physical Education Center on the Kingsville Hampton Inn Court. Johnson and Powell again each registered game highs, with 14 kills from Johnson and 48 assists by Powell. French led the team with 31 digs. For St. Mary's, Tarine Grace tallied a dozen kills and Tori Estrada had 34 digs.
DBU win moves Patriots ahead of Lady Chaps
DALLAS, Texas (October 10, 2015) – A four-set Lubbock Christian University loss to Dallas Baptist Saturday afternoon at the Burg Center pushed the Lady Chaparrals down into fourth place in the Heartland Conference standings and moved the Patriots into third at the midway point of league play while also ending LCU's five-match win streak, despite four Lady Chaps totaling double-digit kill performances and a double-double by Mallory Powell.
Entering the match, LCU (10-7, 5-3 Heartland) and DBU (10-4, 6-2 Heartland) sat tied for the third spot with the conference in a league where only the four top teams advance to the postseason. The Lady Chaps also had history in their favor, as LCU held a 28-2 all-time series edge over the Patriots, but DBU has now collected two of their three wins within the past three seasons in the 32-year old rivalry. In the four-set loss (25-17, 25-27, 21-25, 17-25) Emily Hanaway led the Lady Chaps with 14 kills, Ariel Froeschl tied her career-high of 13 for the second consecutive match, Christiana Tavo recorded a dozen and Maddie Johnson added 11. Powell notched her 12th double-double on the year with a game-high 46 assists and 17 digs.
