LADY CHAPS FLIGHT DECK• The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals begin a regular season-ending four-game road trip Thursday at No. 14 Dallas Baptist before closing the weekend Saturday at No. 25 St. Edward's.
• LCU enters the week 8-2-3 and they are unbeaten over their past eight games (7-0-1) following a 4-0 win Saturday over Northwestern Oklahoma State.
• The Lady Chaps, who went 6-4-0 on the road last season, are 1-2-1 on the road this season and are 16-14-1 all-time on the road under head coach
Alex Denning. Overall all-time, LCU is 26-24-3 on the road.
STORY LINES• This week's games marks the second time in program history LCU will play back-to-back games against ranked competition. LCU last faced ranked opponents in consecutive games on Oct. 20 and Oct. 22, 2011 when they faced No.15 Oklahoma City and No.25 Southern Nazarene. LCU is 0-7-0 all-time against ranked opponents (0-2-0 all-time under Denning). Their last game against a ranked opponent came on Oct. 28, 2013 at St. Edward's (lost 3-0). LCU's last three games against ranked opponents have been on the road and they are 0-4-0 all-time against ranked opponents on the road. LCU has never faced a team carrying a No.14 ranking and are 0-1-0 against teams ranked No.25.
• Heartland Conference announced their weekly conference honors in women's soccer and LCU's
Leslie Castellano received Defensive Player of the Week accolades. Castellano, a goalkeeper, started in each of LCU's back-to-back shutout wins. She recorded her second shutout of the season last Thursday in LCU's 1-0 road win over Newman University and then returned home Saturday and started in LCU's 4-0 home win over Northwestern Oklahoma State. Saturday was Senior Day, so both senior goalkeepers, Castellano and
Lauren Story, split the time in goal. As the game was closing, LCU had all eight seniors on the pitch at the same time and Castellano was used as a positional player. The honor for Castellano was her first of her career. She is the first LCU player to claim a Defensive Player of the Week honor this season. Castellano is 6-1-2 on the season with a 1.31 GAA.
• LCU's last road game resulted in a 1-0 win at Newman, which marked LCU's first road win of the season and marked their first win when scoring less than three goals this season (1-2-2). LCU is 6-0-0 when scoring at least three goals in a game.
• The Lady Chaps lead the Heartland Conference in points (100), goals (38) and in assists (24). Their 100 points ranks 21st nationally. They also rank 18th nationally in goals per game (2.9) and 18th points per game (7.7).

Kate O'Gara leads the Lady Chaps in conference scoring with 9 points off three goals and three assists.
• The Lady Chaps are 18-4-0 all-time in Heartland Conference games, 8-2 all-time in Heartland Conference road games.
SCOUTING DBU• The Patriots are 8-3-2 overall and 3-0-1 in conference this season, and they are unbeaten in their prior seven games (6-0-1).
• DBU is 4-1-2 at home this season and have won two straight at home. They went 4-2-0 at home last season.
• Dallas Baptist is preseason picked No.2 in the Heartland Conference after coming off a 14-5-1 season (7-1-0 in conference) a year ago.
• Lindsey Eccles (4g,1a) and Ashley Cox (3g,3a) co-lead the team in points with nine. Each have combined for one goal over the prior four games.
• Goalkeeper Jenna Acklerly leads the Heartland Conference and is ninth nationally with a 90.1% save percentage.
SERIES HISTORY WITH DBU• DBU leads the all-time series 2-0-0.
• Last season (Nov. 3, 2014), the two teams met in Dallas for LCU's season finale and DBU prevailed 3-2. Cox had a goal and two assists for a three-point game for DBU.
