Lady Chaps Head Into Final Week With Stop In Canyon

LCU Seeking To End Shutout Sequences

LADY CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
•   The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparrals close out their regular season this week playing at West Texas A&M Wednesday for a non-conference tilt before playing their conference and regular season finale Saturday at Texas - Permian Basin.  
•   LCU enters the week 8-4-3 and they are seeking to end a two-game losing streak after a pair of shutout losses. Both losses were to ranked programs, including a 2-0 loss Sunday at No.25 St. Edward's.
•   The Lady Chaps, who went 6-4-0 on the road last season, are 1-4-1 on the road this season and are 16-16-1 all-time on the road under head coach Alex Denning. Overall all-time, LCU is 26-26-3 on the road and they have never been under .500 on the road at any point in program history.

STORY LINES
•   All four LCU losses this season have been via shutout. LCU's prior four games have resulted in shutout losses, with two for and two against. The program record for consecutive shutout losses is three from the 2013 season (LCU had seven losses in 2013 and five were via shutout). LCU's current scoreless sequence is active at 191:41 heading into Wednesday.
•   LCU has four losses on the season with two games remaining. The program single-season record for the least amount of losses is five from the 2012 season.
•   The Lady Chaps have goals from 13 different players this season, which marks a program single-season record.
•   The Lady Chaps lead the Heartland Conference in points (100), goals (38) and in assists (24). Their 100 points ranks 32nd  nationally.  They also rank 27th nationally in goals per game (2.5) and 28th points per game (6.7).
•   Defender Kate O'Gara leads the Lady Chaps in conference scoring with 9 points off three goals and three assists. Brooke Wendl leads the team in non-conference scoring with 16 points off six goals and four assists.
•   The Lady Chaps are 18-6-0 all-time in Heartland Conference games, 8-4 all-time in Heartland Conference road games. The Lady Chaparrals are winless in their last six non-conference road games (0-5-1).

SCOUTING WTAMU
•   The Lady Buffs are 6-9-1 overall and 3-5-1 in conference this season. They are seeking to end a three-game winless streak.
•   WTAMU is 4-1-1 at home this season and winless in their prior two home games (0-1-1). They went 5-4-0 at home last season.
•   West Texas A&M was preseason picked No.5 in the Lone Star Conference after coming off a 7-11-0 season (3-7-0 in conference) a year ago.    
•   Khadidra Debesette leads the team with 16 points off seven goals and a pair of assists. Karyn Forbes leads the team with 51 shots.
•   Goalkeeper Courtney Dippel leads the Lone Star Conference with five saves per game and ranks 85th nationally in the category.

SERIES HISTORY WITH WTAMU
•   WTAMU leads the all-time series 1-0-0.
•   The prior meeting was on Sept. 17, 2013 in Canyon, Texas with WT winning 1-0. LCU was without leading scorers Jamie Boone and Brooke Wendl in the game. Jasmine Shultz had the game's lone goal.
