History between Lubbock Christian and Midwestern State
The Mustangs and LCU have faced off a total of 40 times dating to 1978, with the Lady Chaps holding a 25-14 edge all-time. LCU has won seven of the last eight meetings, including two last season.

Wichita Falls, Texas (October 15, 2014) – A career-high 20 kills by Channing Castleberry, a Christa Daniel career-best 34 digs, and a double-double by Erin Fisher consisting of a game-high 53 assists and 10 digs, helped thwart off a late attack by Midwestern State allowing Lubbock Christian to survive throughout a five-set Lady Chap win by scores of 25-22, 25-15, 18-25, 15-25 and 15-12 on Wednesday night at the D. L. Ligon Coliseum.
Lady Chaps in national rankings (9/21/15)
Libero Kelsie French is the national leader in total digs with 298 and ranks fifth in digs per set at 6.48. The redshirt freshman from Frenship High was the Heartland Conference Libero of the Week September 14. Setter Mallory Powell is fifth in the country in total assists with 470 helpers. The redshirt sophomore from Aledo earned Heartland Conference Setter of the Week honors September 7.
As a team, the Lady Chaps are third-best nationally in team digs with 851, fourth in total attacks with 2,039 and eighth in team attacks per set with 39.67.
Lady Chaps dispose of Falcons in three
LUBBOCK, Texas (September 25, 2015) – Lubbock Christian University volleyball earned their first 3-0 sweep (25-11, 25-14, 25-18) of the 2015 season at the expense of the Texas-Permian Basin Falcons inside The Rip Griffin Center Friday evening, as the Lady Chaparrals snapped a four-match losing streak while exposing UTPB's offensive struggles.
LCU (6-6, 3-2 Heartland) held the Falcons (1-9, 1-4 Heartland) to a paltry -.057 attack percentage and 22 kills amongst 28 attack errors. The Lady Chaps fared much better, collecting 38 kills on a .210 attack percentage with eight kills apiece from Ariel Froeschl, Christiana Tavo and Kacey Deterding.
