Lubbock Christian University and New Mexico Highlands University each play their first doubleheader of the season Saturday, and it completes their three-game non-conference series. The series opened Friday at Hays Field with LCU using a four-run eighth inning to pull away with a 7-2 win. LCU is 5-0 and seeking to remain unbeaten. The last time LCU opened the season better than 5-0 was in 2011, opening the season with a 14-0 mark.
