WE MEET AGAINLubbock Christian University and Wayland Baptist University are meeting for the second of three meetings this season and the last one at Wilder Field. The two clubs close out a three-game non-conference slate April 26 in Lubbock. Their first meeting this season came on Mar. 7, with WBU defeating the Chaps 8-5. Since the meeting, WBU has gone 5-4 and LCU has gone 5-2.

DEBUTINGColin Fraley is getting the start on the bump for LCU and it is the freshman's first collegiate start. Fraley is 1-0 this season with a 1.42 ERA. His prior appearance was his longest relief outing of the season, going 3.1 innings last Tuesday against Bemidji to claim his first collegiate win. He held the Beavers to two runs (one earned) off four hits and struck out three batters.

FOR THE PIONEERSJonathan Frost is the expected starting hurler for WBU. The Alpine, Texas native is 3-1 on the season with a 2.30 ERA and making his fourth start of the season (11
th appearance). He has held opponents to a .175 batting average this season and has allowed only four extra-base hits (all doubles) in 31.1 innings. Frost's last appearance came on Mar. 16 in Tucson against Dickinson State, where he went 3.1 innings and was credited with the loss allowing three runs off five hits. Â

WEEKLY RECOGNITIONTony Reyes was recognized for his week at the plate, as the Heartland Conference announced the Lubbock Christian University first baseman as this week's conference Hitter of the Week. Reyes led LCU to a 3-1 week with wins over Bemidji State and St. Mary's going .643 at the plate with nine hits (9-for-14). Of his nine hits, three were for extra bases (two doubles and a home run). He had an on base % of .706 on the week and also produced a 1.000 slugging mark, scored five runs and drove in six runs. The Levelland, Texas native had a hit in at least all four games and had a trio of multi-hit games (including a career-high four-hit game against Bemidji State going 4-for-5). Reyes had four RBI in the 10-9 win.Â
