THAT TUESDAY THING
No.7 Lubbock Christian University plays the third of an eventual four consecutive Tuesday night games, with their first and only scheduled meeting with Eastern New Mexico. The Chaps have won three straight games and eight of their prior 10 games. LCU is 14-7 in non-conference play. ENMU has lost six straight games and 13 of their last 14 games. The Greyhounds are 7-7 in non-conference games.
 
LOOKING BACK AT INTERNATIONAL
LCU is coming off a three-game series sweep of Texas A&M International at Hays Field, which extended LCU's win streak at home to six games. The Chaps outscored TAMIU 32-9. Jaime Bustamante completed the series with TAMIU leading LCU with a .538 batting average with a 7-for-13 performance at the plate. LCU hit .390 as a team in the series.
 
STREAKS
Hunter McFall enters Tuesday's game on a 22-game hit streak (and 20-game hit streak at home) and has reached base safely in 25 consecutive games. McFall has an 18-game conference hit streak (at least one hit in all conference games). The hit streaks are the longest by a Chap this season. McFall is batting .448 with 39 hits and has a .515 on base percentage over the past 22 games since his hit streak began. He has only been hitless in three games this season.
 
CHRISTIAN DEBUT
LCU will start Christian Buatte on the mound for his first start as a Chap. The junior right hander has a 3.38 ERA in six appearances (all in relief). Of his six appearances, he has only allowed an earned run in one. At home, he has a 4.50 ERA in four appearances. 
 
ON THEIR HILL
The Greyhounds have not indicated their projected starter, but it is possible James Thomas (0-5, 9.11 ERA) or Alec Lemmon (2-3, 8.53 ERA) could start. Thomas has made eight appearances and six starts and Lemmon has made 10 appearances and five starts.  
 
NO HEART-LAND
Brandon Rix leads LCU in non-conference play, hitting .459 in games outside Heartland Conference play. Hunter McFall has 28 RBI in 21 non-conference games and has an on-base percentage of .520. LCU is hitting .337 in non-conference play and has a 4.43 staff ERA. Ricky Contreras has made 10 non-conference appearances and has a 1.37 ERA, holding opponents to a .222 batting average. Reliever Glen Warrick has held opponents to a .195 batting average in nine non-conference appearances.
 
HOME TRENDS
LCU is hitting .364 as a team at home and has outscored opponents 222-103 this season at hays Field, where LCU is 21-4. The Chaps also have an advantage of 89-39 in extra-base hits at home. Hunter McFall is hitting .479 in home games this season and has 32 RBI. His on-base percentage at home is .545. LCU has a 3.83 ERA at home. Ricky Contreras leads LCU with a 1.32 ERA at home. - The Greyhounds are 10-30 on the season, 7-7 in non-conference and 5-15 on the road this season.
- They are coming in following being swept by Tarleton State in a three-game series at home. Two of the losses were one-run deficits.
- ENMU is hitting .276 as a team, with Daniel Ward hitting .387 on the season. He has 10 doubles and five homers on the season.
- ENMU was preseason picked tied for fifth in the six-team Lone Star Conference Preseason Poll after going 11-21 last season in conference play.
- The 'Hounds have had 21 different pitchers take the mound this season. 
 
ALL-TIME SERIES
LCU won three of four games in their season series last season and comes into the game with a 57-20 lead in the all-time series, which dates back to 1971. The two teams have only met seven times since 2004. LCU is 33-8 all-time at home against ENMU.
