They closed out the season with losses in their last four road games (one goal in the span).  The Lady Chaps offense struggled with four road goals last season and they came from four different individuals. LCU is 16-19-1 all-time on the road under head coach Alex Denning. Overall all-time, LCU is 26-29-3 on the road. They are winless in their last five non-conference road games (0-4-1).
•   This season mark's LCU's fourth season as members of the Heartland Conference and second season with conference and NCAA postseason eligibility. Last season, LCU qualified for the Heartland Conference Tournament for the first time in program history.
•   The Lady Chaps have nine new additions on their roster this season.  Adrienne Almodova, Leah Beikmann, Hayden Burdsal, Haley Knesek, Krysta Mathis, Sarah Palmer, Samantha Ramirez, Mariah Sweeney and Hollie Windham are all freshmen looking for their first collegiate action.
•   Eight starters from last season's 8-7-3 squad (starters based on the final game) return, including 2015 All-Conference selections Madison Boyd, Ashley Ledford, Kate O'Gara and Audra Park.
•   LCU begins their first season since the graduation of LCU's all-time career leading scorer Brooke Wendl, but they return their next top-five leading scorers from last season. O'Gara and Ledford each had 12 points last season (each had four goals and four assists) behind Wendl's 25 points (10 goals and five assists).

SCOUTING UTPB

•   UTPB went 3-3-0 last season at home, winning their final two home games of the season.
•   Texas-Permian Basin is in their first season in the Lone Star Conference (men's program are affiliate members of the Heartland Conference). They were preseason picked seventh (last) in the conference preseason poll, but they did receive a first place vote.
•   Erica Ancich is the Falcons highest scorer returning for this season. She produced eight points off three goals and two assists.
