LUBBOCK, Texas (September 24, 2016) – Lubbock Christian University (5-6, 0-1) continues their opening week of Heartland Conference play Saturday hosting Newman University at noon inside Rip Griffin Center. September is Leukemia Awareness Month and LCU is encouraging all fans to wear orange to help spread leukemia awareness and honor the life of Nora Lyn Williams, the daughter of Casey and Kelsey Williams. Kelsey (maiden name Odell) is a former four-year All-Conference member of the Lady Chaps and her daughter Nora passed away this past August less than three months old.
