Lady Chaps Look To Extend Winning Streak Against St. Mary's

LADY CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
• The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaps will close out a three-game home stretch with a Heartland battle against St. Mary's University Saturday afternoon. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. at LCU Soccer Field.
• Lubbock Christian has allowed two goals at home this season while capturing a 3-1-1 record at LCU Soccer Field. The Lady Chaps have also recorded 10 goals over the course of those five home contests.
• LCU has built a three-game win-streak pushing their overall record 8-4-1 and their Heartland Conference record to a 5-3-1 mark. The Lubbock Christian women have compiled a .654 winning percentage for the 2017 campaign.
 
STORY LINES
• Freshman keeper Hannah Wise has racked up eight clean sheets this season placing her tied for second in program history for most career shutouts recorded. Wise has a running shutout sequence of 292:43 over the past three contests.
• For the season, the LCU squad has posted 21 goals while allowing eight. Additionally, the Lady Chaps are averaging 1.62 goals scored per contest.
• Three of Lubbock Christian's four losses have come by one-goal margins, all of which have come in Heartland Conference matches.
• The LCU squad has 10 different goal-scorers this season with three players tied for the top spot. Claudia Sanchez, Allison Scott and Brittany Guthrie have each tabbed three goals to lead the Lady Chap stat sheet.
• Lubbock Christian's eight clean sheets ties a program record for most shutouts in a single season, a mark that was set in the 2016 campaign.
 
SCOUTING StMU
• The Rattlers are 0-2-2 in their past four matches. Their latest success was a 2-0 victory at home over Our Lady of the Lake in a non-conference contest.
• Heather Dawson leads the St. Mary's roster with five goals on the season. Dawson's five goals have come on eight shots and a .750 shots on goal percentage.
• Erin Longford has led the Rattlers in the net with 41 saves on 106 shots faced for a .759 season save percentage. Longford is one of three St. Mary's goalkeepers to log minutes this season.
• As a team, St. Mary's has scored 16 goals this season for a 1.38 goals per game average. Since beginning their conference schedule, the Rattlers have logged 10 goals from six separate players.
• StMU has remained unbeaten at home, but registered a 1-5-1 record when playing on the road. Of those five road losses, four have come against Heartland opponents.
 
SERIES HISTORY WITH StMU
The Lady Chaparrals are looking to avenge a 1-0 double overtime loss at St. Mary's earlier this season (9/21/17). Overall, LCU holds a 3-3-2 record against the Rattlers and a 2-1-1 record at home in the all-time series. The Lady Chap's last victory over St. Mary's came in a 3-1 result during the 2015 season. Since then, Lubbock Christian has drawn twice and lost once with all three matches going into a double overtime period.
