Tough Week of Action Continues Saturday for LCU, Hosting Dallas Baptist

LADY CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
• Lubbock Christian University enters Saturday's contest against Dallas Baptist University with a 4-1-1 overall record and a 1-0-1 record in Heartland Conference play.
• LCU's match against the Patriots will serve as a their final home contest before embarking on another four-game road trip.
• The Lady Chaps are 1-0-1 at home this season following a 0-0 double-overtime draw to St. Edward's Thursday afternoon. The scoreless match result is the first in program history for LCU.
 
STORY LINES
• In Saturday's tilt, Lubbock Christian will look to continue a four-game streak in which they have kept opponents off of the scoreboard. LCU has not been scored on in a total of 397:31.
• Freshman Hannah Wise ranks first in the nation with 577:30 played for the season. Wise also has Lubbock Christian's running record for a shutout sequence (397:31).
• The Lady Chaps will be looking for revenge, as Dallas Baptist was the team that bounced them out of the Heartland Conference Tournament in 2016.
• Freshman Allison Scott leads the LCU squad with six points on the year. Scott has posted two goals and two assists on 15 shots in six games played.
• LCU stands 33-15-9 all-time in home contests and 16-4-6 in conference home matches under head coach Alex Denning.
 
SCOUTING DBU
• Dallas Baptist holds a .500 record in Heartland action heading into Saturday's matchup. The Patriots are 3-2-0 overall and 1-1-0 in conference standings.
• DBU is riding a two-match win streak where they scored a total of six goals. For the season, Dallas Baptist has posted eight goals while limiting their opposition to three.
• Patriot keeper Hope Koym leads the Dallas Baptist squad with 441 minutes played in five starts.
• DBU finished the 2016 campaign as Heartland Conference Tournament Champions after defeating the LCU and St. Edward's, respectively. Dallas Baptist went on to win their first match in the NCAA Regional Tournament before losing to Colorado School of Mines in the second round.
• The Patriots' offensive efforts are led by McKenna Namken, Jayme Woodfill and Ericca Everson who have each tallied two goals on the season.
 
SERIES HISTORY WITH DBU
• Dallas Baptist holds a 5-0-1 record over the Lady Chaps in a series that stretches back to the 2013 season. In their previous meeting, Lubbock Christian was blanked 3-0 in the semifinals of the 2016 Heartland Conference Tournament.
