LADY CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
- Lubbock Christian University makes their third all-time appearance in the Heartland Conference Tournament and they seek their first win ever in the tournament. They enter as the No.4-seed and face the host and No.1-seed St. Edward's.
- LCU enters the game following a 2-0 road loss at Rogers State, which placed their regular season record at 9-9 and closed their conference record at 8-6-0.
- The winner of the semifinal contest advances to Saturday's championship match, where they will face the winner of the contest between Dallas Baptist and Newman.

STORY LINES
- The 2018 All-Heartland Conference Women's Soccer team and awards were announced Wednesday by the conference office following a vote by the league's coaches. Lubbock Christian University was highlighted with Makenna Pate claiming Freshman of the Year honors and earning All-Conference honors alongside teammates Katie Pullano (First Team), Hailey Phipps (Second Team) and Allison Scott (Second Team). Pate is the third Lady Chaps member to claim the Heartland Conference Freshman of the Year honor behind Haley Knesek (2016) and Claudia Sanchez (2014).
- LCU's offense looks to rebound after being shutout 2-0 to Rogers State Saturday. Two of their shutout losses have been to Rogers State.
- The Lady Chaparrals rank 51st nationally and rank second in the conference in assists (29) and 55th nationally in assists per game (1.61). Haley Knesek and Makenna Pate are the team's co-leaders in assists with five, which ranks tied for fourth in the conference.
- LCU is 0-2 all-time in Heartland Conference Tournament play. They are making their first appearance since 2016.  LCU has been outscored 4-0 in their combined appearances and are seeking their first goal of the tournament. They are 0-1 against SEU in the tournament after a 1-0 loss on Nov. 6, 2015 in Dallas, Texas.
- McKenna Pate leads LCU overall in goals (8) and goals in conference play (7). Four of her eight goals have come on the road.

SCOUTING SEU
- St. Edward's currently ranks fifth in the United Soccer Coaches South Central Regional poll.
- All 11 of the Hilltoppers victories this season have come in Heartland Conference play. SEU kicked off the year with an 0-2-1 non-conference record. Following their win over LCU on Oct. 20, SEU has gone 1-1, which wrapped up a four-game road trip going 3-1 to end the regular season. The Hilltoppers are 6-1-0 at home this season.
- Although St. Edward's is the top seed after claiming a Heartland Conference regular season title, they have managed to do so while ranking fifth in the Heartland with 24 goals.
- SEU has six players with at least two goals this season and all six have at least one game winning goal. India Wentz has three goals on the season and all three are game winners. Katherine Whitman and Sarah Gunderson are their overall goal co-leaders, each with five.
- Goalkeeper Annabel Sweeney has allowed 11 goals this season while making 62 saves for a .849 save percentage (leads the conference and ranks 39th nationally). Her 0.63 GAA leads the conference and ranks 25th nationally.

SERIES HISTORY WITH SEU

The Lady Chaparrals and the Hilltoppers have met a total of 10 times since the 2013 season. St. Edward's holds a 9-0-1 record over the LCU and swept the regular season series with a 2-1 win in Austin, Texas (Sept. 20) and 2-0 win in Wolfforth, Texas (Oct. 20).
