Lady Chaps Hit The Road For St. Edward's Tilt

LADY CHAPS FLIGHT DECK
- Thursday afternoon opens up a two-game road stint for the Lubbock Christian University women's soccer team. The Lady Chaparrals will head to Lewis-Chen Family Field in Austin, Texas for a Heartland Conference tilt against St. Edward's University. 
- LCU is coming off of their first multi-goal performance of the season where Hollie Windham and Allison Scott combined to lift the Lady Chaps to a 2-1 win over a previously undefeated Newman Jets squad.
- Lubbock Christian's offense has recorded 17.3 shots per game and a .288 shots on goal percentage.
 
STORY LINES
- Thursday's match marks the first Heartland road contest for the Lady Chaparrals.
- Success has not been an easy mark to find for LCU when playing in Austin, Texas. Lubbock Christian stands 0-4 against St. Edward's when playing on the road. 
- Hannah Wise enters the match for Lubbock Christian as an important component of the Lady Chaparral defense. Wise stands 27thnationally for saves made this season (32).
- After 104 shots taken this season, LCU stands second in the conference in the category.
- Makenna Pate leads the Heartland averaging six shots per game for 36 total shots through the first six games of the season.
 
SCOUTING SEU
- After beginning the season 0-2-1, St. Edward's seems to have found their footing winning their last two matches in shutout fashion.
- Despite their 2-2-1 record, the Hilltoppers have registered three goals on the season from three different players.
- The Hilltopper defense is allowing, on average, one goal per game from their opponents.
- Annabel Sweeney has remained in the net for the entirety of the St. Edward's season logging 469:44 and capturing a .821 save percentage.
- Throughout their opening five games, St. Edward's has been held scoreless on three occasions. Of those three contests, two have resulted in a defeat.
 
SERIES HISTORY WITH SEU
Thursday will serve as the ninth meeting all-time between the squads with St. Edward's holding a 7-0-1 edge over the Lady Chaparrals. The teams last met in the 2017 season where the Hilltoppers overcame LCU 3-0 in Austin, Texas (Oct. 21, 2017).
