LEADING OFF
After one of the best offensive days in program history on Friday, Lubbock Christian University will go for its second straight series sweep with a game three finale against Newman at 1 p.m. at Hays Field. The Chaps scored 43 runs in the first two games of the series, pounding out the program's second most hits in a single game in the nightcap of the Friday doubleheader. So far this series, 13 different Chaps recorded hits, including nine who had multiple hits on the day.

STARTING PITCHING MATCHUP
LCU – The Chaps will turn to
Chandler Casey on the mound as they go for the sweep. The Lubbock native is making just his fourth start of the season, but will tie for the team lead with 11 total appearances. Casey comes into the game with a 3.53 ERA in 35.2 innings pitched He is third on the team with 41 strikeouts and opponents are batting .240 against him. In his last outing, against UAFS. He carried a no-hitter into the eighth inning and only gave up one hit overall, while striking out a career-high 11 batters.

NU – Andrew Snyder will be on the bump for the Jets, making his sixth appearance – all starts – of the season. Snyder is 2-4 this season with a 4.94 earned run average in 31.0 innings pitched. He has 16 strikeouts and a .298 opponents batting average. In his last outing, Sndyer lasted three innings, giving up seven runs on 10 hits against the Rattlers of St. Mary's.
