LEADING OFF
It's a new month, but the Lubbock Christian baseball team still has unfinished work left over from February that they will complete on Sunday. The second game of Saturday's doubleheader was suspended on account of darkness and will be completed at noon Sunday, with the final game of the series to be played 30 minutes after. The Chaps broke a nine-game losing streak in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader with a 9-2 win and lead the second, suspended game 8-4 heading into the seventh and final inning. If LCU holds on for the win and takes game four, they will earn their first series win since the season-opening series against St. Edward's.

STARTING PITCHING MATCHUP
LCU – The Chaps did not use
Aaron Weseman in the doubleheader on Saturday, so it is likely that the southpaw will go to the mound in the finale. Weseman has an ERA of 6.06 on the year in 16 and a third inning pitched. He has just eight strikeouts on the year, but opponents are batting .233 against him on the year.
Â
TAMIU – Joseph Garza-Delapena will likely get the ball for the Dustdevils after taking the loss in three of his previous four starts. Garza-Delapena has an ERA of 13.91, having allowed 17 runs in just 11 innings on the mound. He does have 13 strikeouts in that time and limited opponents to a .279 batting average, but struggle staying over the plate with 12 walks.
