LUBBOCK, Texas (February 24, 2021) - The final regular season volleyball edition of The Rivalry on the Range takes place at 7 p.m. inside Rip Griffin Center, as Lubbock Christian University and West Texas A&M conclude a two-match home-and-home series and their fourth regular season meeting of the season. LCU aims for the home court success to even the regular season series against the Lady Buffs after falling 3-0 Tuesday night in Canyon, Texas.

- Tuesday's meeting marks the 47
th all-time matchup between the Lady Chaps and Lady Buffs (sixth as conference foes). WTAMU has had the upper hand in the series with a 32-13-1 all-time series lead. The Lady Buffs swept LCU last season, winning 3-2 in Canyon (Sept. 21, 2019) and 3-0 in Lubbock (Oct. 11, 2019). This season, the Lady Buffs are 2-1 against the Lady Chaps, with the home team winning the prior three matchups (3-1 LCU at LCU on Jan. 26, 3-0 WT at WT on Jan. 27 and 3-0 WT at WT on Feb. 23). LCU is 6-12 all-time at home against WTAMU.
- WTAMU went 22-7 last season, going 14-4 in LSC play. Their 2019 season ended at the NCAA Division II South Central Regional, where they fell to Angelo State. They are preseason picked fourth this season in the LSC. The Lady Buffs currently sit in second place in the LSC's West Division, sitting two games ahead of LCU (2-5). WT has won their last three matches, coming off a sweep over UT Permian Basin and a 3-0 win Tuesday against LCU.
- Torey Miller has 44 kills against LCU this season, with a pace of 4.44 kills per set. She also has seven blocks against the Lady Chaps. Overall on the season, Miller leads the LSC with 4.32 kills per set.
- WT features two-time reigning Lone Star Conference Libero of the Year Chandler Vogel, who enters Wednesday's match with 1,966 career digs. She sits fifth on WT's career list in digs and is on pace to challenge Lauren Beville's (2009-12) all-time career mark of 2,423. Vogel has seen time in 381 sets for the Lady Buffs and has 105 starts in the back row. She had 31 digs Tuesday against LCU and is averaging 6.3 digs per set against LCU this season.
- WT is second in the LSC in digs per set, with an average of 19.6 per set, which is 14
th nationally. Vogel ranks 11
th nationally and leads the LSC with 6.4 digs per set.
LADY CHAP NOTES
- LCU enters the game with a 3-5 record overall and a 2-5 Lone Star Conference record. The Lady Chaps are seeking to end a four-match losing streak, which is their longest since a six-match losing streak in 2017.
- The Lady Chaps rank in the top-25 in several national team categories. They enter the week ranking 12
th in team total attacks (currently with 1141), 17
th team total digs (498) and 25
th in kills (329).

Jalee Sims, who has seven double-doubles out of LCU's eight matches, leads the LSC in total assists (237), which is 11
th nationally. Entering Wednesday, she averages 8.46 per set, which is fourth in the conference (35
th nationally). On Feb. 2, she posted 35 assists and 30 digs against UT Permian Basin. Going through game-by-game records on file since 2004 (detailed game-by-game statistics are incomplete in archives prior), Sims is the only Lady Chaps member to have at least 30 digs and 30 assists in the same match. Only two players in Division II completed the task last season and she is the only player with the mark this season in Division II.
- Sims also ranks seventh in the LSC in digs with 116, behind conference leader and teammate
Maddie DeGuire, who has 136 digs (third in the LSC) and entered the week ranking 13
th nationally in the category. DeGuire averages 4.86 digs per set to rank fourth in the conference (ranks 36
th nationally).
- LCU is preseason picked ninth in the Lone Star Conference preseason poll. This season marks LCU's second season as members of the Lone Star Conference. LCU was preseason picked sixth last season and finished tied for third in their division last season (5-5 in division play), taking the No.8 seed into the conference tournament. Prior to last season, LCU had been in the Heartland Conference since 2013.

Jenna Lyons (60) ranking 14th in the conference. Moore ranks 11th in the conference in kills per set with an average of 2.80 per set.
