LUBBOCK, Texas (April 29, 2022) - The Lubbock Christian University men's and women's track & field teams will compete locally for the final time this season, running at the Corky/Crofoot Shootout hosted by Texas Tech on Friday and Saturday.
The meet, which will be hosted at the Terry & Linda Fuller Track & Field Complex, begins at 12:30 p.m. on Friday with the discus and hammer in the afternoon. Running events on Saturday start at 8 a.m., and field events will begin at 3 p.m.
LCU's men's team this season has been led by
Bryce Spencer, who competes in the throws. He has broken the school record in discus and has a NCAA provisional mark of 52.56m in that event. He has also provisionally qualified in the hammer throw and has the second-best mark in the conference with a throw of 59.47m. Finally, his throw of 60.44m in the javelin is the third best in the conference.
On the women's side,
Anna Salisbury has continued her strong season and already provisionally qualified in the 400m with a time of 54.82s.
