Lady Chaps Welcome UT Tyler to Town this Saturday

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Lubbock Christian University women's soccer team returns to action Saturday afternoon as they welcome UT Tyler to town.
 
This will be the Lady Chaps first game in over a week and a half, last playing Oct. 11 when they defeated West Texas A&M 1-0.

LADY CHAPARRAL HEADERS
  • The Lady Chaps are coming off a 1-0 win against West Texas A&M on Oct. 11. Lexi De La Cruz's 13th minute goal gave the Lady Chaps an early lead and they never looked back.
  • LCU is 3-3-1 in Lone Star Conference play and finds themselves in seventh place in the conference standings.
  • The Lady Chaps have outscored their opponents 19 to 15 this season, averaging 1.46 goals per game on 13.0 shots a game.
  • The Lady Chaps have taken 169 shots, 77 of which have been on goal.
HOMETOWN HERO
  • Lubbock native Lexi De La Cruz has been one of the best offensive players in the nation this season. She has recorded the 24th most assists and 36th most goals in all of NCAA Division II.
  • She has recorded the most goals and points in the LSC and is top-5 in the conference in assists, shots on goal, and game-winning goals.
  • Lexi has scored eight goals and dished out six assists this season.
 FLASHY FRESHMAN
  • Freshman Forward Emily Douglas has been De La Cruz's partner in crime on the offensive end this season.
  • The Phoenix, AZ. Native has found the back of the net three times this season and contributed three assists as well.
  • She is top-10 in the LSC in game winnings goals and assists.
 MURRAY MADNESS
  • Freshman Goalkeeper Kara Murray has started every game for the Lady Chaps. Facing 136 shots and making 49 saves.
  • She has a .766 save percentage and allows 1.26 goals per game.
THE SERIES WITH UT TYLER
  • The Lady Chaps are 2-1-0 all-time against the Patriots.
  • UT Tyler defeated LCU 1-0 in 2022.
SCOUTING THE PATRIOTS
  • UT Tyler has drawn six consecutive matches coming into Saturday's game. Last time out they drew 1-1 with West Texas A&M on Oct. 14.
  • The Patriots average 1.25 goals per game on 13.5 shots a game.
  • Alexia Moreira and Brooke Mullins lead the Patriot offense. The duo has combined for six goals this season.
  • Maddie Higgins has recorded two goals of her own.
  • Emily Clark and Daniella Wilken have split time in goal for the Patriots. They have combined for 60 saves on 139 shots faced. They have a .800 save percentage and allow 1.25 goals a game.
  • UT Tyler comes into the match in 10th place in the LSC Standings.
  • The Patriots are coached by Stefani Webb who is in her 19th season.
