Bowman tied for ninth after two rounds at Rattler Invitational

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Hayden Bowman sits inside the top-10 after the first two rounds of the Rattler Invitational. 

Bowman shot a pair of two-over, 74s on the day, finishing the first two rounds with a four-over, 148. The freshman currently sits tied for ninth overall. Bowman was fantastic on par fours, shooting a one-over, 4.05 average score, the fifth-best mark of the field. He also shot an average one-under, 4.88 on par fives. Bowman's 24 pars are the fifth most of the field, while his five birdies lead the team. Bowman sits above five golfers that are ranked in the Golfstat Top-100, and above the no. 5 golfer in all of Division-II. 

As a team, the Chaps sit in tenth place after shooting a 40-over, 616 in the first two rounds. LCU shot a 16-over, 304 in the first round and a 24-over, 312 in the second round. Lubbock Christian has carded 99 pars so far, the sixth most in the field. The Chaps sit above conference foe Texas A&M International and Missouri Southern State. 

Jackson Comer sits tied for 18th with an eight-over, 152 scored through two rounds. Comer shot a two-over 74 in the first round, and a six-over 78 in the second round. Comer, along with Tiaan de Jager, had the best score of any Chap on par threes, shooting a one-over, 3.13 average score on the shortest holes at the Dominion Country Club. 

Braxton Floyd is tied for 39th with an 11-over, 155 two round score. Floyd shot a five-over, 77 in the opening round and a six-over, 78 in the second round. Floyd's five birdies are the second most on the team so far in the tournament. 

Tiaan de Jager shot a 17-over, 161 two round score on the first day of the tournament, as he is tied for 57th place. The South African shot a seven-over, 79 in the first round, and a 10-over, 82, in the second. Clement Catteau shot a pair of 15-over, 87s on the opening day, as he is in 65th place with a 30-over, 172 two round score.

Dallas Baptist sits in first place with a 12-over, 588 two round score. Sangha Park of Texas Permian Basin is in first place individually, with a six-under, 138 two round score. 

The Chaps look to move up the leader boards tomorrow, Feb. 21, in the final round of the Rattler Invitational. Action begins from San Antonio at 8:15 AM. Fans can follow along with live results via Golfstat.
