RICHARDSON, Texas (October 28, 2025) – For the second consecutive week, Lubbock Christian University volleyball swept multiple Lone Star Conference weekly honors, as freshman outside hitter
Emilee Sikora was named Offensive Player of the Week, while freshman setter
Camdyn Sears repeated as Setter of the Week following another dominant road performance for the Lady Chaparrals.
Sikora and Sears led LCU to a pair of four-set road victories at Texas A&M International and Texas A&M–Kingsville, extending the Lady Chaparrals' win streak to 15 matches and keeping them perfect in Lone Star Conference play (11–0).
A freshman from San Angelo, Texas, Sikora delivered a breakout offensive weekend, averaging 4.13 kills per set while hitting .255 across eight total frames. She totaled 33 kills, eight digs, and two blocks on the trip, producing LCU's most prolific two-match stretch of the year. Sikora opened the week with a career-high 20 kills in Friday's win at Texas A&M International — the first 20-kill outing by an LCU player this season and the program's highest total in a four-set match since 2021. She followed with 13 kills and six digs Saturday at Texas A&M–Kingsville, marking her 13th double-digit kill effort of the season. Her 4.07 points per set ranked ninth in the LSC for the week, and she became the first LCU freshman in the program's LSC era to earn Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Meanwhile, Sears continued her record-setting freshman campaign by orchestrating one of the league's most balanced offenses. The Midland, Texas, native averaged 10.75 assists per set with back-to-back double-doubles, dishing out 44 assists and 12 digs at Texas A&M International before adding 42 assists and 18 digs at Texas A&M–Kingsville. She extended her double-double streak to six straight matches and now has 15 on the season, while leading all LSC setters in assists per set for the week. Under her direction, LCU hit .244 as a team and .296 in the win at TAMIU.
The performance adds to Sears' growing list of accolades, as she now owns six weekly conference awards this season (three Setter of the Week, three Freshman of the Week).
This week also marks the first time in program history that LCU has produced multiple weekly honorees in consecutive weeks, following last week's recognition of senior middle blocker
Lily Bickley (Offensive Player of the Week) and Sears (Setter and Freshman of the Week), which was LCU's first time receiving multiple LSC honors in a single week (in their LSC era).
Sikora becomes the third different Lady Chap to earn Offensive Player of the Week honors this season, joining Bickley (Oct. 21) and
Jade Workman (Oct. 7) — the first time LCU has produced three different offensive honorees in the same year since joining the Lone Star Conference.
The Lady Chaparrals (19–4, 11–0 LSC) now turn their focus to a marquee "Rivalry on the Range" showdown Tuesday night, visiting No. 14 West Texas A&M at 6 p.m. inside "The Box" in Canyon, Texas. The matchup pits the league's top two teams and longest active win streaks (in the LSC) against each other, with LCU seeking its first road victory over WT since 2015.
