AUSTIN, Texas (October 4, 2025) – Lubbock Christian extended its hot streak Saturday afternoon with a four-set 3-1 victory over St. Edward's (19-25, 25-23, 25-21, 25-20) inside Recreation and Convocation Center. The win stretched the Lady Chaps' win streak to eight, their longest since 2018, and improved them to 12-4 overall and 4-0 in the Lone Star Conference, joining UT Tyler as the league's only remaining unbeaten teams.
After a slow start, LCU found its rhythm behind a balanced attack.
Jade Workman led the way with 14 kills on a .357 attack percentage, following up her .571 performance the previous night at St. Mary's.
Emilee Sikora added 13 kills, while
Camryn Blair tallied 12 on a career-high 49 attempts.
Camdyn Sears recorded her ninth double-double of the season with 42 assists and 15 digs, while
Abby Dominguez led the back row with 21 digs—her sixth 20+ dig match of the year.
Ramsey Clark (15 digs) and
Kyla Farnan (12 digs) joined Dominguez and Sears in double figures as the Lady Chaps collected 93 digs, their highest total in a four-set match since 2021.
St. Edward's (3-7 overall and 0-5 in conference play) was powered offensively by Addy Badley (17 kills) and Kelli Fording (15 kills), while Althea Morris ran the offense with 41 assists and Giselle Ojeda led her side with 27 digs. Despite those efforts, St. Edward's could not contain LCU's late-set surge.

How It Happened
SET 1 | SEU 25, LCU 21
Lubbock Christian and St. Edward's engaged in a tight first set, with both teams exchanging leads four times (score was knotted up 10 times). SEU initially took a 2-0 lead, aided by a kill from Addy Badley. The Lady Chaps responded with a series of points, including a service ace by
Bryleigh Schweer, to level the score at 4-4. As the set progressed,
Jade Workman and
Camryn Blair contributed key kills to keep LCU within striking distance. However, a late surge led by Badley and Kelli Fording allowed the Hilltoppers to pull ahead, with Badley securing two consecutive kills to bring the score to 24-20. Despite a brief comeback attempt by the Lady Chaps, SEU clinched the set 25-22 with a final kill by Fording. Workman led LCU with four kills in the set.
SET 2 | LCU 25, SEU 21
In the second set, the match was tied at 6-6 until
Olivia Elofsson's service ace and a consecutive kills from Blair helped LCU surge on a 5-0 run to take an 11-6 advantage. SEU fought back, narrowing the gap to 13-13 with consistent play from Badley and Fording. Leading 19-18, LCU closed the set on a 6-3 run, with Workman capping the ser with a kill to end the set at 25-21. Workman and Blair each had four kills in the frame.
SET 3 | LCU 28, SEU 26
The Lady Chaps emerged victorious in the third set against SEU with a 28-26 win. Early in the set, they took a 4-1 lead, capitalizing on a block by Sikora and Bickley. SEU fought back to tie the score at 7-7 with a series of kills from Katherine Neille, aided by Jaiden LaVanway's setting. However, LCU regained control through key plays, including a block by Schweer and Blair, and a service ace by Schweer. In the closing moments, the teams exchanged points until Sikora secured the final two kills from assists by Sears. LCU avoided two set-point serves by SEU, and they flipped the script trailing 26-25 with Workman powering a kill before Sikora had consecutive kills to cap the 3-0 run to clinch the set. Sikora (6) and Workman (5) combined for 11 kills in the set.
SET 4 | LCU 25, SEU 20
Lubbock Christian secured a 25-20 win in the fourth set against SEU, highlighted by a decisive mid-set surge. After trailing 3-5, they capitalized on consecutive errors by SEU to level the score and then pulled ahead with a 7-1 run after a pair of SEU attack errors. The Lady Chaps extended their lead to 19-12 with a series of kills from Blair and Sears. Despite a late push by the Hilltoppers, as they went on a 6-2 run to cut LCU's lead at 23-18. Blair had the final kill to close the set and led LCU with five in the frame.
