OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (September 20, 2025) – Lubbock Christian University closed out the Lone Star Conference Crossover in dominant fashion, sweeping Oklahoma Christian 3–0 (25–15, 25–21, 25–22) Saturday afternoon at the Eagles' Nest. The win marked LCU's fourth straight victory, capped a perfect 2–0 run in the event, and lifted the Lady Chaps to 8–4 overall, their best pre-conference start since 2023.
The Lady Chaps were unstoppable offensively, hitting .455 as a team — their third-highest mark in the rally-scoring era (since 2008) and best since 2010. LCU's 53 kills tied for the fifth-most in a three-set match since 2008, while their 50 assists ranked tied for eighth. Setter
Camdyn Sears fueled the attack with 43 assists, tied for the seventh-most in a three-set match since 2008 and the program's highest since 2014.
Emilee Sikora paced the attack with 15 kills, marking the most by a Lady Chap in a three-set match this season.
Payton Murray added 12 kills on .400 hitting, while
Bryleigh Schweer contributed 10 kills and five blocks at a .500 clip.
Abby Dominguez anchored the defense with 15 digs, and Sears chipped in nine to go along with five kills and her 43 assists.
Oklahoma Christian fell to 7-2 with the loss, falling for the first time this season in less than five sets (it was also their first home loss of the season… 1-1). The Eagles were led by Annie Davis with 16 kills, while Chloe Jones added 11.

SET 1 | LCU 25, OC 15
Lubbock Christian's volleyball team secured a commanding first-period victory over Oklahoma Christian, concluding with a 25-15 score. The period began with both teams exchanging points up to 9-9, but the Lady Chaps gained momentum leading 12-11 with a kill by Schweer to jumpstart a 6-0 run. Sikora had a pair of successive kills during the run. The visitors maintained their offensive pressure, with Murray and Bickley contributing crucial kills, ultimately closing the period with Bickley's final point to secure a decisive win. LCU closed the set on a 13-4 run. Sears dished out 14 assists in the period and Sikora produced seven kills.
SET 2 | LCU 25, OC 21
In the second set, LCU began with a strong performance, quickly establishing a 5-1 lead with notable contributions from Murray and Sikora. Sears played a pivotal role, assisting on multiple kills and helping the Chaps maintain their lead throughout the set. OC fought back to level the score at 10-10, thanks to a series of successful attacks led by Annie Davis and Chloe Jones. The score was tied as late as 17-17, but LCU received kills from
Madyson Eberly and Murray and were beneficiaries of a couple OC serving errors resulting in a 5-2 run for a 22-19 advantage. Bickley led the Lady Chaps in the frame with five kills. LCU hit .500 as a team in the set, with six different Lady Chaps contributing at least one kill.
SET 3 | LCU 25, OC 22
The third period between LCU and OC was a tightly contested affair with several momentum shifts, as neither team had more than a three-point lead in the set. An Eagles ace had them up 8-5 before LCU grabbed a little momentum and a trio of Schweer kills had LCU up13-11. The set would eventually be tied 16-16 before a kill from Murray gave LCU the lead for good. Leading 23-22, LCU sealed the period with a 25-22 win, with Sears and Murray delivering the final kills. Murray (6), Sikora (5) and Schweer (4) combined for 15 of LCU's 20 kills in the frame, as LCU hit .432 in the set. Sears dished out 16 assists, while also producing two kills in the period.

LCU will now head into Lone Star Conference play, which gets underway Friday at 6 p.m. inside Rip Griffin Center with LCU hosting Sul Ross State.
