LUBBOCK, Texas (September 26, 2025) – Lubbock Christian University opened Lone Star Conference play in dominant fashion Friday night, sweeping Sul Ross State 25-21, 25-11, 25-15 inside Rip Griffin Center. The Lady Chaps improved to 9-4 overall and 1-0 in league play, while the Lobos dropped to 2-5, 0-1 LSC.
LCU hit .371 as a team, marking their third straight match above the .300 mark.
Lily Bickley once again set the tone at the net, finishing with 13 kills on .429 hitting for her seventh double-digit outing of the season and 47th of her career.
Emilee Sikora backed her with nine kills at a blistering .450 efficiency while adding a career-high four blocks. Setter
Camdyn Sears orchestrated the attack with 38 assists, guiding the Chaps to 47 total — the fourth time this season LCU has posted 45-plus assists in a three-set match.
Abby Dominguez anchored the defense with 17 digs, and five different Lady Chaps delivered at least one ace, led by two from
Kyla Farnan.
The win extended LCU's streaks in several ways: it was their fifth straight overall, their third straight at home (improving them to 4-2 inside Rip Griffin this season), their 20th consecutive win over Sul Ross, and their 39th victory in 50 all-time meetings. The Lady Chaps also improved to 25-6 all-time in conference openers, including 4-3 since joining the Lone Star Conference.
Sul Ross was led by Cassandra Espinoza with eight kills and eight digs, while Danielle Senak tallied seven kills. Libero BreAnna Quarles finished with 12 digs as the Lobos hit .139 on the night.

The first set featured a strong start by the Lady Chaps, who quickly took a 6-1 lead with
Olivia Elofsson's service ace and kills from
Emilee Sikora and
Tatum Fleitman. SRSU responded with a run, narrowing the gap to 12-9, capitalizing on Lady Chaps attack errors and a service ace by Cassandra Espinoza. The Chaparrals maintained their lead, however, with key contributions from
Payton Murray and
Bryleigh Schweer, pushing the score to 19-15. Despite a late push by the Lobos, cutting the score to 22-21, the Lady Chaps closed out the set 25-21, with Schweer and Fleitman registering decisive kills. Sikora led LCU with four kills.
SET 2 | LCU 25, SRSU 11
LCU asserted control early in the second set with a series of attacks, including a kill by
Jade Workman, to take a 3-1 lead. The home team capitalized on multiple errors from SRSU, extending their advantage to 9-3. A 7-3 surge put LCU up 17-9 and they closed the set on a 7-0 run behind the serve of
Sienna Cavalier. Bickley was a force in the set with six kills and a block.
SET 3 | LCU 25, SRSU 15
Lubbock Christian secured a commanding 25-15 victory in the third set. The set was highlighted by a strong offensive performance from Blair (four kills) and Bickley (five kills), each contributing multiple kills.
Camdyn Sears facilitated the attack with 15 assists in the set, helping the Lady Chaps to extend their lead consistently. Sikora also made significant contributions with four kills and a block, while
Sienna Cavalier added the set's pivotal points. Despite efforts from Sul Ross St., including kills from Espinoza and Danielle Senak, the home team maintained control throughout, closing the set on a kill from
Hope Gonsioroski for the team's 18
th kill in the set.
