RICHARDSON, Texas (September 22, 2025) - Lubbock Christian sophomore forward
Mia Chambliss was named the Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Chambliss came off the bench and scored goals against both Sul Ross State and Angelo State to help the Lady Chaps to an unbeaten start to conference play. She netted the equalizer during the 70th minute of a 1-1 road draw with defending league champion ASU. Chambliss only took two shots on goal and connected on both.
The Lubbock native and Frenshp H.S. graduate is now second on the team in both goals and points with three and six, respectively. She has scored her three goals in just 160 minutes on the field across five games, all off the bench.
After the first weekend of conference play, Lubbock Christian sits in a tie for fourth place with four points in the standings. The Lady Chaps are 3-2-1 overall. They will be back on the field next on Wednesday, taking on Midwestern State at 7 p.m. in Wichita Falls.
