RICHARDSON, Texas (January 27, 2026) - Lubbock Christian University senior sprinter Reuel Campbell was named the Lone Star Conference Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday. 

Campbell, a Jamaica native and transfer from Western Texas College, competed in the 400-meter and was a member of the Chap 4X400-meter relay team at the Stan Scott Invite, hosted by Texas Tech. He posted a season-best time of 47.46 in the 400m, which is his best time so far this season and provisionally qualified him for the NCAA Division II Track and Field Championships. He placed sixth overall in the event. 

LCU's relay team had already posted a provisional mark this season, but improved on their time, completing the race with a time of 3:10.34. The only teams to beat them were from Division I universities, and the Chaparral foursome topped squads from Texas Tech and UTEP. 

Lubbock Christian will next be in competition on Friday at the New Mexico Team Open in Albquerque, New Mexico.
