LUBBOCK, Texas (January 29, 2026) — The Lone Star Conference announced its 2026 Golfers to Watch on Thursday, recognizing 50 student-athletes across the league as the spring championship season approaches, including four representatives from Lubbock Christian University's men's and women's programs.
The annual list features two golfers from each of the conference's 13 women's teams and 12 men's teams, with honorees nominated by their respective institutions. The selections highlight returning standouts and emerging contributors as conference play nears its start in February.
Lubbock Christian was represented on the men's side by juniors
Noel Bondesson Jr. and
Hudson Reagan, while seniors
Anaya Perales and freshman
Nadalie Cannell earned recognition for the Lady Chaps. The quartet reflects the continued upward trajectory of both LCU programs under head coach
Jeff Maciejewski following historic fall performances.
Bondesson, a native of Landskrona, Sweden, enters the spring with a regional ranking of No. 56 and a 73.92 scoring average across the fall schedule. He led the Chaparrals with 40 birdies and posted an average finish of 36th, serving as a steady presence in LCU's lineup during a fall season that included two top-10 team finishes. Reagan, a sophomore from Brownwood, Texas, earned a regional ranking of No. 97 and recorded a 76.25 scoring average while leading the team with 133 pars.
The LCU men's program is coming off one of the strongest fall campaigns in program history, highlighted by a program-record 54-hole score of 844 (-8) at the San Juan Intercollegiate in Colorado and the school's first-ever international competition at the Shootout at PGA Riviera Maya in Mexico.
On the women's side, Cannell and Perales helped power a Lady Chaps squad that posted three top-10 finishes during the fall portion of the schedule. Cannell, a freshman from Hermiston, Oregon, finished the fall ranked No. 37 in the region with a 67.82 scoring average and an average finish of 15th place, leading LCU with 30 birdies. Perales, a senior from Midland, Texas, followed closely at No. 38 regionally with a 68.18 scoring average and a team-best 101 pars.
Conference-wide, the Golfers to Watch list includes 11 student-athletes ranked inside the top 50 of the Scoreboard national rankings, underscoring the league's depth on both the men's and women's sides. Four LSC women's teams and three men's teams finished the fall ranked or receiving votes in the final Division II coaches polls.
The 2026 women's season begins as early as Feb. 2, while men's competition opens Feb. 9. The Lone Star Conference Women's Golf Championship is scheduled for April 13–15, followed by the men's championship April 20–22, with both events set for Rockwall Golf & Athletic Club in Rockwall, Texas.
