Pusateri Named LSC Offensive Player of the Week

RICHARDSON, Texas (January 6, 2026) - Lubbock Christian junior forward Antonio Pusateri was named the Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday. 

This is the third time this season Pusateri has earned one of the conference's weekly awards, but his first as Offensive Player of the Week. He was previously named the league's Defensive Player of the Week for weeks six and eight. 

Pusateri averaged 22 points, 12 rebounds and 2.5 assists to lead the No. 6-ranked Chaps to a pair of conference road wins against No. 13 St. Edward's and No. 20 St. Mary's. The California native had a double-double in each game, including a career-high 32 points on 66.7 percent shooting in an 88-71 win over SEU. He now has 10 double doubles on the season. Pusateri also added two blocks and a steal to help LCU increase its winning streak to five games.

For the season, Pusateri is averaging a double-double with 16.2 points and 11.0 rebounds per game. He leads the team with a .571 shooting percentage and has chipped in 24 assists, 15 steals and 14 blocks. His 176 total rebounds and 10 double-doubles both lead the nation. 

Lubbock Christian is currently 14-2 on the season and 5-1 in Lone Star Conference play. The Chaps play just once this week, at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday in Wichita Falls against Midwestern State.
